Jack Edwards call on Oshie

Can you imagine if the tables were turned and a B had been bloodied by a high stick?! He’d absolutely be calling for a penalty or more! In fact, you don’t even have to imagine it... it looks just like this:

I’m not sure how these threads continue to gain traction. This is Jack Edwards, how are people still surprised and appalled at this point?

Because people love to find ways to be offended, and look for an outlet to let everyone else know just how offended they are.

There was. No. Penalty.

He didn't like the fact that the game was blown dead even though there was no penalty, when Bruins were on a 4 on 2.

Obviously if there had been a penalty, the game would be blown dead by rules.

Right, and the "he better not come back this game if they're going to blow it dead when Bruins are on a 4 on 2" thing was a criticism of the refs, not some wish for the player to not return. Listening comprehension.

Forget his homer-villain persona. As a play by play guy, he's brutal. He has that broadcaster school affectation, that voice they must teach you to put on to sound like you're on tv, but he lays it on so thick. And he is so boring. If you had the picture off, you would think he's calling a basketball game.

Cancel culture these days leaves far too many dry/boring stiffs behind the mic.
The term you're looking for is professionalism

But when it's combined with knowledge of the game and likeability its not boring. Jack lacks in every area

You're right...We need more whiners in society to get things that we want...Commence the temper tantrums!
Youve whined about cancel culture more than anyone has whined about anything in this thread...

Ken Daniels works for BSD
Eddie O is the Blackhawks color commentator

You can work both jobs. No national audience wants to hear him.
You're assuming a lot, my man. You have no idea if he even wants to do national games. You have no idea what his contract is. It's actually asinine to think what you're proposing is sound.

Driving home from the game that night Jack encountered some unusually heavy traffic due to an accident. After a few minutes having barely moved, frustrated sitting there he started muttering to himself about how ‘somebody better have died’.
