Jack Edwards call on Oshie

Well I also think Mr. Edwards tends to try to play into this role of villain but often ends up looking like the jester.
I won’t argue the point. He’s an ass, and unfortunately us bruins fans or any fans don’t get to choose our teams pbp guy so we are stuck with him. My only point in this entire thread was the op was pretty disingenuous in how he framed his clip, but that’s what he’s known for, he’s the Jack edwards of hf.

One thing I give him credit for is his real time call on Chara injuring Pacioretty - even him, and the league discounted it.

They do? Last I checked they only do it for the defending team if the player isn't in danger of being shot at.

If I recall the event you're taking about, Werenski was up high, play went down low and he didn't lay down on the ice. People talk down embellishment, but the reality is you need to act like you got shot for the Refs to care.
He was in the high slot. Layed on the ice for 6 seconds before getting up from a blood puddle large enough to be visible from the broadcast camera. He had about 3 seconds of skating off the ice (leaving a trail of blood) then the Pens scored

i watch a bunch of different sports and i havent found anyone as annoying and absolutely disgusting as this guy. a complete and absolute tool

Seemed like a good call to me. I assume this is a local broadcast? Enjoy homerism on a local call.
People don't seem to understand that local broadcast are for the fans of the team. Their job isn't to neutral and call the game down the middle.

Edwards is annoying but I get it. I get his shtick. And obviously it's what the audience wants if he's been on the air this long.

He seems to have got worse this year. Is he going senile?

Edwards is in his mid 60's. He's definitely lost his fastball but i wonder how much of that is from having to do the PbP on a tv screen and not from a booth. He's behind the play a lot, stumbles over words, and loses his train of thought a lot more than in recent years.

Yea, doing PBP remotely is incredibly difficult.
