I mean this all in good fun but Freddy can have a game where he makes 45 saves and allow two goals and a 100 posts will follow dissecting the goals rather than the saves.
Cambell gets treated like a God after a dozen games he.gets annoited as the starter to the point of having a goalie making a million back him up next season. The situation reminds me of how a certain portion of Nuck fans treat Myers, the guy has been very good since he got here especially this season he's a legit top 4 guy who does everything above average big physical, but every single mistake and the pitchforks come out. Good luck the rest of the way and please beat the Oilers, Habs, and Jets please

It seems more like relief that we don't have a goalie who's single-handedly costing us games anymore.

Interesting that main board trolls are now coming in and giving their expertise on our goalie picture now.

Campbells been great but we don't have to pretend he made an amazing save when had no chance to react, and was lucky the puck didn't go in.

Most saves don't require a "reaction", they just require being in the right place.

It's pure comedy how this narrative has developed. All along they were saying the Leafs are just this shit defensive team that's hanging Freddy out to dry but now that we have a different goalie in net and are winning they're now going "OMG why are Leafs fans treating him like a god he's not even making that many good saves".

Yeah you would think the people who thought that the Leafs D was to blame for Freddy's numbers would be the ones most in awe at Campbell's performance behind that same D.

I didn't think any were soft, Nurse shoots from the hash marks with momentum behind his shot. Some fans say it was soft, but at the same time they will tell you its impossible to react to a deflection from there.

from what I have seen and I am sure I have not seen all his posts ... he has said the Leafs loses should not be blamed entirely on Fred, I haven't seem a post from him saying anything negative about Campbell

The entire concept of "Fred's team" is ridiculous. I hate pitting our players against each other as idiots are wont to do here and I've repeatedly said so over the years. Whether it's been Reimer vs Bernier, Kadri vs Bozak, Marner vs Nylander, Marner vs Matthews or whoever else, it's all stupid.

Everyone makes mistakes, I neither excuse mistakes nor bash people for them. If I'm on Fred's team then I'm also on the team of every player on our roster, including Jack Campbell. I have never downplayed Jack's success and I have never bashed any player who wears the Maple Leaf. Criticize sometimes, sure. But bash? Never.

I guess you missed my earlier post where I said how thrilled I am to be 3-0 in what I referred to as "the Campbell era". Or do you see that as "downplaying Jack's success"?

Andersen has played poorly this season, I have said that a number of times. And yes it's also true that the criticism has often been over the top and this is something that anyone who has spent any time over the last month or so reading posts about Andersen should be well aware of. But I have never said that Andersen's play is the teams fault. So yes, please do stop making up nonsense.
