Hypothetically and valuewise. Straight up Debrusk for Garland? Jake's been having a bad year, but has a higher pedigree, and his numbers with the exception of this slow start aren't too different.

Keep in mind players have said playing in front of no one in covid situations has affected their playing. Garland playing in Arizona in front of no one probably wasn't affected as much (just kidding, but only a little)
Yup tough call

I’m rooting for Jake but I would have to have a round table and do pro’s and con’s on this

My question would be......if the Bruins are taking on Henrique and his albatross contract, what else are Anaheim including in the deal to entice the Bruins to take on that financial commitment?

Assuming their young players are off the table, my pitch to Anaheim is we'll take Henrique's contract off your hands, all you have to do is include Rakell in the deal and maybe the Bruins add some other smaller pieces to even things up a bit.

No way would I take on the Henrique contract without some added incentive to the Bruins.

The contract is a high a bit, but ANH can always retain money. If the retain $1.8 then it bring Henrique down to $4 million for the next few years.

Sorry not going to trade the house for a defenseman that we don’t need. The need scoring and please if your going to include another 1st let it not be for a rental
Yeah well Donnie might...
He loves to add defense no matter the need, it's job #1.

Florida has on of the best road record in the league this season.

Think its because they are used to no fans. Away games are like home games for them this season.

There is 0.0 Frederic is being traded

however watch for local RFA Connor Garland headed here

Garland, Rakell, and Oleksiak would be a big add but I doubt we have the ammo to target all three and I DOUBT Donnie would do this even if we do. I've got no confidence in his ability to pull off substantial moves like these all at once. His statement the other day was very very telling on what's going on his his "head-space."

I'd do it because Garland would be great for Boston and that would be good value for DeBrusk but I'd rather hang onto Jake and trade picks and prospects. DeBrusk has been frustrating this year but I still think he turns it around once fans start returning and things get a little more normal. He was playing much better recently before the pause.

For me, the main problem with moving Jake this year is then you still have a hole on the 2nd line. I like Ritchie a lot but I don't think you can rely on him for 2nd line level production. Obviously DeBrusk hasn't been providing that this year either but we know he's capable of it and I can't say the same for any of the other forwards. Garland would be an improvement on DeBrusk, no doubt, but I think you still need another deal after that.

Grzelcyk is a better defenseman then Subban makes 33% cost

You are pretty much the only one I’ve seen have the Bruins expose Grzelcyk

Fluto in Athletic and Matt Porter in Globe have Bruins protecting him

Outside getting Ekholm, I don't think there's any way the Bruins don't protect Gryz, and even then, they may even opt for 8 skaters.

I know.....Its not even close. I dont understand you. PK stats right now are very similar to McAvoy. Gry will get us hammered down low...so small, he wont even last four rounds vs heavy teams. PK played 25 minutes last night even VS the Flyers....He is been pretty dominant lately. You are comparing a number 5-6-7 dman to a former Norris winner who is playing almost at the top of his game....Funny stuff. I think it was you who sent me a link where they had Sweeny rated at the number 5 GM.......Lou LAM was number 6, I laughed and did ot read the rest of what you sent. That was all i had to see.

I would take PK and Lou Lam......and You could Have Gryz and Sweeney. And i would beat you like a plow horse day in and day out.....every day.

Question on Miles Wood, what does he do that Frederic doesnt? I know he always seems to play well against the Bruins but his numbers are that of a bad 3rd liner. This may be his best goal scoring pace season and yet they still play him on the 4th line (atleast yesterday).

I ask this question as someone who likes what i see when he plays the Bruins, but im concerned we would end up paying a 4th liner 2.75mil
Is much faster, goes to the net extremely hard, is a huge net front presence. He’s been stuck in NJ. Waite until he’s on a team like Boston. No way in the world will he be a 4th liner here

One of my reasons to stay on Twitter this site

For me it depends where Gryz slots in the lineup. As a #5 puck moving D man I have 0 problem with Gryz.

Where you get in trouble with Gryz is in the 2-3 spot and getting exposed to tough matchups especially come PO time against the bigger teams.

If he is your #4-5 guy helping the PP no problem with Gryz.

Xxx Mac
Lauzon Carlo
Gryz Miller (if healthy)

Fill that spot and that's a good 6 playing in the right spots.

Agree...

I'm was impressed how effective he is every game I watch Miles play. This would be a solid move by Sweeney.

What world are you living in where PK Subban has been dominant lately with stats very similar to McAvoy?

I would for sure. Problem is leaves us with another hole. First rounder, Bjork(good contract for them) Vaak. Another prospect if we have to. Guy like Steen.

Well it was predictable. The only argument against him is size and that he will get theoretically hammered in the playoffs by bigger forwards. Never mind that it hasn't really happened ( I don't count cheap head shots, those take down giants like Carlo, too). It COULD happen, though, because he's undersized.

At least you stick strong to your convictions.

Maybe take the efforts and write a letter to Sweeney directly why he should acquire PK Subban, because don't think anyone here is agreeing with that

Devil's aren't retaining 3 million next year so PK can play on another team, especially if he's as important of a piece as you are saying.

Hey hey be nice

I like hockey and like this place but I readily admit I’m not a hockey guy

I’m quoting Bruins stats and supporting Donny who’s been very nice to me since he showed up in mid 80’s and to my yute

if you say it I must defer / let’s get PK & fire Donny
