U think he is going to cost less! He def will cost this much. He still has a year left on the contract. A very salary cap friendly contract. A proven top 4. Leafs will be offering the world to get this guy I’m sure of it. Or maybe Edmonton. Bruins won’t get him for less. Not that I care. I think the defence is fine

Those trades make no sense
The bruins have 8 nhl capable defenders on the roster. Sweeney has absolutely made sure this team is deep on defence. He knows defence drop like flies. It’s a position that naturally has a lot of injuries.
Well if he cost DeBrusk + Vaak + 1st then huge pass for me, he is not a bad player, but not someone worth that I don;t care how much term he has left, if we are going to pay this kind of price then rather have a young top 6 forward coming back.
After paying that price, do you send another pick to the Kraken in order to protect Lauzon, do you let Lauzon go or do you protect 4 forwards?
I just assumed Nashville or any sane GM takes Bjork given the choice between the two.
I make a deal with the Kraken to take a guy like Kase by adding a prospect. I just don't see Kase part of the Bruins future.
I think that’s fine but if I am the Kraken Kase doesn’t move my needle so I might ask for a first. I think a 2nd and Zboril or Grezclyk as there pick would be the approximate cost and I am torn on that especially with Zboril. I like Lauzon more than Zboril but is he worth an extra 2nd I just don’t know. It shouldn’t skew my view that we have been so good in the 2nd round but it does.
Nylander has a high ceiling. But if you combine that with his streakiness and contract size along with all his playing warts it just is a difficult player to sell to other GMs.
