I think we need a 3rd team.

But my top offer is something like Beck, Barron, Farrell/Mesar, and FLA 1st.

If Winnipeg takes Barron over Beck, I prefer that. Would I give up Beck and Barron? Probably.

There's baggage with Wheeler that I wouldn't want Hughes to take a chance on, especially with a younger room. Best to avoid those types of issues if you can, especially in a media market like Montreal that will do anything for a story.

I wouldn’t include Beck.

Barron, Farrell and the FLA 1st seems fair — they’d be getting players who can contribute now and two 1st rounders since Barron was a 1st round pick.

How do we know? It’s not like we’re privy to who was specifically offered. Rumor is that the Jets had been asking for Dach, which was always a non-starter for Hughes.

Not saying no because of freaking Beck. I happen to really like the player but if that’s the only way a deal gets done, then include him for all I care.

I just thought that Barron with the FLA pick and Farrell was a fair offer, is all.

It is a fair offer , Teams may give WPG offers but if Dubois refuse to play there , value cant be that much. I really wonder what list he has.

As usual we overvalue prospects / picks and undervalue the player.

8 prime years of a tall, big 65-70 points center… is worth way more then any of our current prospects (not Slaf but he is borderline)

Once we’re confident that we’re not getting him in UFA next year, I think we need to pay the price.

On their side, Jets have to understand that Cole, Suzuki and Dach (because of his contract) can’t be included. Slaf as well because of ELC and high ceiling. Everything else should be in play, and I include Lane Hutson even if I’d be scared to death to do that trade (Sergachev PTSD)

Habs have to make an effort if they want him. On his side, PLD should be ready to accept Suzuki’s money. It might be a bit under his market value, but it’s still a good contract for both parties and will entice Montreal to pay a bit more by increasing its value (compared to a 8.5+ contract)

Why would LA trade youngster that won't cost them much and brings a lot to a team already in Cap hell and need a goalie.......there's a lot more chances LA would be on Helle than PLD if they were to put money somewhere.
