I feel like it's always better to pick those imperfect movies or tv shows from the past to remake them rather than the ones that were great and perfect to begin with. I don't understand why Hollywood doesn't do it more often. Because there is less controversy attached to it and you could really do something special with it.

It's mostly because it's easier to get the cash to remake something well known/popular, since it will probably make money even if the final product is not that good.

"Tron" is more alone the way of what I'm talking about. The original movie had some good things in it but it was overall a very flawed movie. Remaking it was a good move(well it was more of a sequel). Although it did not completely work out. Same with Willow. In that it was an OK movie but it still had some recognition. (although here again I heard the TV sucked lol )

A 10 millions dollar goalie is really the last thing I would want for this team. Price never amaze me except that one season where he won trophies like Theodore did and Theo never struck me like a superstar player. Price could have won cups playing for a better team of course because I believe the team make the goalie and not the contrary.

When you have a good team you can win with a zamboni driver as goalie to put that in perspective. Try to win with your number one center zamboni driver

And if you think Saku was number 1 Im not sure you know how to evaluate talent

At the deadline the Jets will easily pull a late 1st + decent prospect for PLD, so we'll need to add a decent bit on top since Florida's pick is so late.

Not to mention he didn’t win the Lindsay(Pearson) that season. Price finished top 5 for Vezina 4 times, top 10 Vezina 7 times, top 10 for Hart 2 times, won the Jennings, Lionel Conacher award, Olympic gold, World Cup championship, etc. Comparing a HOF goaltender to a one hit wonder is an insult and just shows your level of knowledge. His contract was also never a problem and never hurt the team. In fact, out of all the $10 million dollar players around the league at any position, he’s the only one that’s been to a SCF and he carried our pathetic team there.

He never had that fortune in the NHL playing for Montreal. He’s won every award a goaltender can outside of the big one including the American leagues and juniors. You can cry about the “pedestal” he was placed on, but he was on one because he was a great goaltender.

Habs might have to think about trading Harris. He doesn't really have a future on this team. Guhle, Xhekaj, and Hutson will probably be the future LD. Throw in Barron and Mailloux and unless Harris can turn into a top pairing D, he's the odd man out. So while the Habs still have to give the Jets cap back, Harris could be the answer to not giving up too much pick and prospect wise

interesting you bring Vasi in the discussion because hes the perfect example of what im telling you. The team make the goalie. Put Montembeault with tampa and he would be call one of the best in the league.

And look at Price career stats, its not that impressive. He was such a darling with the media he might make it to HOF but I dont think he deserves it because he was not that much better than other goalie. If hes in the HOF stats wise Halak has a case too

Trading Halak was the right move at the time considering Price draft rank and pedigree. But in retrospective if you are honest they have very similar number stats wise in their career. Just to show Price was an average goalie except one season

And Price doesnt have a lot of shutout for the many game he played.

Carey Price has name recognition and that might put him into the HOF. Goalies are usually a tough sell for the HOF voters. Lundqvist probably had a better career than Price, but I'm not sure if Lundqvist will get in?

Shea Weber is another former Hab that has a chance to go to the HOF.

Lundqvist is a lock. He’ll be in next year. Weber is interesting. He will likely have to wait. Price should be first ballot like Lundqvist, especially with Luongo getting in with little personal achievements. He opened the door for Price and Lundqvist.

Yeah 9M$ is too much. It would probably be around 8M$ to be honest. What would be interesting if we trade for him this summer is signing him to a 1 year, with a bigger salary, with an immediate 8 years extension with a lower AAV to balance.

Let’s say they trade for him and have a mutual agreement on the value of PLD for next year has a last year RFA and for the 7-8 years after that as a UFA.

If the value is 7M$ for his last RFA year and 8M$ AAV for his next 8 years contract, you give him 11M$ for his RFA year and drop the AAV for his next contract accordingly, so 7,5M$ per, which help the teams during their competitive seasons.

Can't be done.
