How do you define harassment?

I noticed the #freeraty hashtag on Twitter - that seems like harmless fandom to be honest. Im doubting most Isles fans know how to contact the Karpat front office directly but I could be wrong?

My exact question as well. If someone levels a (vague) accusation like that, they also need to disclose a bit more about exactly what the perceived harassment has been.

If it is essentially one person posting #freeraty on a single lineup tweet, well I don't know what more needs to be said.

I just can't see Isles fans digging around for phone numbers, going through a foreign switchboard or drafting up e-mails.

Of course I have been wrong before, with respect to the stupidity of the average person, and I am sure I will be wrong again in the future.

That seems to be the worst of it, I wonder what she means by "strongly worded" lmao. It's not a big deal anyway, some people just need to relax a bit.

She seems new to the Eyes on Isles fanblog site and might be a tinge unhinged, she’s not media she can’t demand any answers from anyone.

Wow. Ok, I stand corrected, maybe there are some fans who will track down how to contact the team!

Looks like shes a college aged fan blogger who's taking things a little too seriously? The folly of youth perhaps.

Now Im wondering if she knows Finnish, or had it translated for her, or used Google Translate?

I’m so intrigued by Malinen and Machu. Liukas too for that matter.
One of the things I read about Machu Pichu is about his skating, I read he’s a great skater. If he can add offense, that’ll be another excellent late round pick.

Looks like she's also associated with the terrorist organization Boko Haram and doesn't like dogs.

very good player, from what i saw. did not look out of place in the exhibition games, and yeah, i know it isn't quite the same.

the team that Raty plays for, is undoubedtly not worried about his development. they are worried about winning. i get the feeling that he won't be playing there, all year.

Agreed.

There is a big difference in being good in exhibition games… and being good enough to play pro hockey. Kärpät is winning without Räty, there is no reason to for them to change their lineup when it’s working. The Liiga isn’t some kind of development program, they will always play with the best players and Räty got to show that he is a better option than the current centers. It sucks for the Isles (and his development?), but that’s just how things work.

That’s the definition of cringe.

Just noticed that she blocked me on Twitter after I said that he has to work hard and prove for the team that he is good enough for a spot in the line-up. She seems to be unstable.

"yeah not sure how we're supposed to sit over here and not have our blood boil with this circus"

Um, maybe because it has zero point zero percent importance to your life and it's kind of sad that you care so much that you've elevated this to anything beyond a mild point of interest?

I’m not surprised that an established foreign major league team is making a young highly touted prospect earn his stripes. Hopefully this process doesn’t last much longer.

I may also be way off on this next comment especially since I haven’t seen his play overseas but……….Could it be that some of his critics have a bit of an inferiority complex and want to believe, no matter what, that their regular players are way better than the flashy newcomer?

Imagine demanding answers from a random Finnish team because your favorite team's prospect isn't playing. My God some people are so cringe.

You don't think Lou and Co. would say something if they don't like what they see? Lots of folks need to grow up.
Exactly but that's how the world has become. Overreaction is the norm these days, in any walk of life.

Of course the Islanders monitor his situation closely. If they are getting worried, he'll be brought across the pond ASAP.

Imagine some random fan calling up Lou-ca Brasi and demanding that the Isles skate a certain player. They'd be sleeping with the fishes in no time at all!!

As of right now, Dufour leads the QMJHL in goals. Can’t wait to see him in Bridgeport next year.

Out of all the 2020 picks he was the one I was most familiar with. Some people felt he could have been a 2nd round pick. He was highly rated coming into the Q. He’s a big strong kid with skills who can shoot the puck. To me his floor is high. Might not be an all star but he has a lot of the tools you see in an NHL winger.

We stake the horse heads in our front yard to keep out the Mormon's....but I might be able to spare one the next time 'round.
The HK Mormon tabernacle is right next to my work building. I see them buzzing around in their white shirts all day. As soon as they see a white guy their eyes light up but I've learned the fine art of deflecting them over the years!

I thought that telling them I didn't speak Korean would work until they translated on their phone that they would send someone who spoke English. Think I missed the visit fortunately!
