I’ll believe it when they actually make moves. I was expecting something last off season

I wasn’t beyond Miller being moved (that has been discussed as a mistake as nauseum).

The reason being that many of the contracts don’t start to become truly moveable until this next deadline and offseason. As it was they revamped the bottom 6 quite a bit and added some tangible lower level depth elsewhere. And of course beefed the wings up which will allow some of this other moves IMO. It will take another 12-18 months to truly revamp the lineup.

Hughes is a positive goal differential player with the turd sandwiches this organization has iced for the past 3-4 years.

He still looks very good. It makes you wonder what it would like with a quality partner.

At 8 million hes gotta play d too or hit 100 points and win a team 20 games just where he has to be

Yeah in retrospect I didn't want him back but was ok with them giving him a lame duck year. But now I realize nobody owes anyone anything, especially a team with as many difficulties as the Canucks.

Bringing him back was more of an optics thing. But this management needs to be making hockey-backed decisions, not PR-driven ones.

Or it was a direct intervention by Frankie. Both are pretty bad.

It would've been a PR nightmare if Bruce wasn't brought back, but looking at it now we should've just passed on him. Team is no better than last year with minor tweaks.

Also, Aquaman should get as far away from this team as possible. This man is robbing us fans of a good hockey team.

They are the most pathetic team in the league. Also Horvat>Petey this season as Horvat has shown up against all the good teams, whereas Petey stat padded against Seattle and the Ducks.
