So Sekera and Faulk have definitely regressed to a mean recently. They've been responsible for more goals against than any other pairing over the past month or so.

So I'm tuning in and out of this game intermittently and have managed to see 4 Islanders goals and exactly 0 Canes goals. What!

Now I'm watching again. Let's see if they make it 6-4.

Harrison has looked like the most competent PP defenseman over the last 2 or 3 games. God save us.

I am about to have a heart attack. I will be the first to admit that I am a huge fan of Eric Staal but man, how can you not show up in a game like this? He and Faulk have played like garbage.

How can you not show up in a completely meaningless game when you've not shown up for several meaningful games? I'd say it'd be pretty easy.

Even if your statement is true, I don't care who you are, if your a pro athlete than your adrenaline should be at a 10 right now.

I, unfortunately, don't think that this game is meaningless.

I'm an hour behind you guys so I'm not reading this till later. Just wanted to throw out that McDonald's dad played for the whalers and that he grew up in my town. He even played a year or two on my high school's team, making him the first from my town in the NHL I believe. We had a guy back in my day make the echl, and I'm pretty sure we had a couple of others in the minors. Wethersfield, Ct....in the house.

Go Eagles.

No one should be surprised at anything Eric does anymore. Whether it's playing like complete ass or playing like a worldbeater, it shouldn't surprise you
