Defenseman fronting the forwards, I hate it. Stevens did a segment on it a while back and he hates it too. They want the Dman to face the puck and play so they can react better.

Also a modern product of not being able to really tie up/interfere/beat the shit out of a guy in the crease. Even tougher on the PK, but holy crap he was wayyyy too high up.

Yup. Suite seats. Got them about 3 weeks ago at a reasonable price. Figured there wouldn't be any lamiorellos fans in a suite. Thankfully I was right. But what a letdown. That 2 on 1 was evident immediately.

You'll never tie up a stick, get to a rebound or clear the crease from that position.

They really do need to get this right for next year, because I could honestly see a jersey on the ice moment here if the team gets off to a shaky start.

Remember how rowdy they got last year both in the home opener (cheering Brunette, fire Lindy) and then the deafening boos in the 1st period of the Ducks game that became our first win of the season.

Last year bought enough goodwill that nothing too crazy like that was gonna happen this year, but the fanbase will be rabid if we get off to a bad start next year. So they better get it right.

I thought the effort was there. We clearly got discouraged giving up that first goal.

Yes a bad pinch by Bahl. But after that a terrible job of defending the 2 on 1. Both guys back need to know their job is preventing that pass. You simply cannot let that pass go through to Pageau. The goalie takes the shooter on the wing and you prevent the pass.

Was that Smith? There was a forward back too maybe. Just poor fundamentals.

Maybe if you watch games from a few years ago. The last couple of years the refs let guys hold and interfere constantly
