Sven Beutenschon...I've been using the guys name for like 15 years.

"Does anyone have a good auto body guy"
"Yep, Sven Beutenschon"

"Can anyone recommend a a good exterminator"
"Yep, Sven Beutenschon"

"What was the name of the actor in "There's Something About Mary" who faked the back injury...
"Oh, i know...Sven Beutenschon"

Never had an issue with Ziggy Palffy, who Zibanejad reminds me of.

The rest of them can go to hell.

I liked Ray Ferraro when he was there, which was right when I really started paying attention. Was excited he became a Ranger.

I also always liked Kenny Jonsson.

Was a big Tavares fan, mostly because I drafted him 3rd overall in my fantasy hockey league the year he lost the Art Ross to Benn the last night of the season.

When I drafted him everyone laughed at me saying it was the biggest reach in the history of our league, I had so much fun watching him tear it up every night and winning my league for me.

I also can't really hate Cizikas, I would kill to have him on the Rangers.

I didn't/dont like any Islanders but I remember feeling some sort of respect for Jason Blake.

Now I gotta go lysol myself

No Chico? Probably the only "Chico" in NHL history.

But my choice is Bobby Bourne. He was kind of like a quiet hero for those hated teams. Excellent Pk'er from what I remember. Those big name guys, absolutely hated, but of course wouldn't have minded Bossy on our team.

One of the more indelible memories I have of the Ranger/Islanders rivalry when it really was a rivalry and true hatred between the fan bases existed...I'm sure you and a bunch of others will remember this, is when good ole Ed Hospadar when he was young lad, made the mistake of challenging Gillies to a tussle at the Garden.
I do remember that. No, not a very smart decision on his part.

Very rare to see such a combination of skill and pugilism.

I remember once it looked like Barry Beck who as you know was just about the same size as Gillies, and Gillies were going to go at it which would have been epic but it was broken up before they could throw them down. Beck was another guy no one wanted to mess with.

How about 5 foot 8 inches of nastiness, Garry Howatt. He wasnt a real good fighter but he got into it with all of his contemporary heavyweights. I dont think I ever saw him smile on the ice.
