I remember being on cloud 9 that dayThe shine has certainly worn off some since the days that Tavares blessed us with his $11 contract.

That. contract is haunting the leafs right now.The shine has certainly worn off some since the days that Tavares blessed us with his $11 contract.
Wouldn’t the problem be those enabling the catering? These guys haven’t known anything different as professionals. Of course an employee is going to want as much salary and as many perks as they can get. It’s up to the ownership/managment to set the cultureNot saying there is a cancer but if there is one, it is hard to not point to the big 4.
Think we have heard enough about the team is catering to them too much….even Treliving said it is about the team and not big 4….
ROR really just sent a F U to someone in TO and whoever that might be they probably still didn’t know about it.
in his last presser as GM he literally said that change of course is in the cards and nothing is off the table if he stayed. I suspect and I’m sure many others see that as what upset shanny as much as the other stuff that was brought up at the time.hahha Is this a joke? Dubas saw this and tried to rectify the situation ... What does this mean?
Alrighty. ...
I think it was the way dubas was walked out the door that exposed the true issues within the organization. Not one of these names mentioned in the OP make me think "we need to sign all of them or die".
Likely a trade in the works or some day 2 names will be signed.
Why is it that when Dubas leaves for a few weeks that it's all of a sudden a "cancer"?
Dubas is the rookie GM who hired a rookie Coach and implemented the stupid systems that don't work in the playoffs. He is also the one who approved Marner with an A and also signed Marner to a contract even opposing teams wouldn't offersheet. Paying all that bonus money up front, giving NMC before UFA... Royally fu&$we this organization.Maybe those around here with bozo the clown photos can now see that they slapped those photo shops on the wrong guy.
Oh man, gonna be a lot of crow served around here this year. Kyle did good work this off season so far.
Cool, if I was the coach I’d probably ignore a player telling me how to do my job as well. Ror is a mercantile type who’s played on more teams than I have had full time jobs in my lifetime
How much of that is shanny and how much was dubas? Look at who’s making and not making what moves now today and come back to meDubas is the rookie GM who hired a rookie Coach and implemented the stupid systems that don't work in the playoffs. He also was the idiot promising not to trade players during negotiations.
I don't care what Dubas does from here on, we went through the school of hard knocks with that idiot and he left us in "shambles". We would've been 10X better with Lou and Babcock.
Shambles like cap flexibility and a solid core of prime aged players under contract? Touch grass pleaseDubas is the rookie GM who hired a rookie Coach and implemented the stupid systems that don't work in the playoffs. -You think Shanny signed Keefe? How much of that is shanny and how much was dubas? Look at who’s making and not making what moves now today and come back to me
I disagree. He exposed himself.I think it was the way dubas was walked out the door that exposed the true issues within the organization.
Bud doobis had 5 off seasons, five trade deadlines. to make the team better... Now, if you were a gm would you want the team doobis took over or the team that he left here now.I think it was the way dubas was walked out the door that exposed the true issues within the organization.
Pleks actually was great in his one series. He really knew how to get under Bostons skin better than anyone.Greedy and soft core plus rookie coach is the answer. ROR and Schenn are studs and without them even one round win would have been impossible. How did it work with Pleks, Marleau, Foligno? They just didn’t have it and didn’t want it.
We became a dysfunctional franchise again with everything that went down in the dueling Dubas and Shanahan press confereces. They were both really weird and unprofessional.
Then we fired the GM after just offering him an extension. We look like a joke, so it's not a surprise that we're not seen as a hot destination right now.
Except he was offer-sheeted, twice, with the rumors being the offers were in the 11M range. One if the GM's even called Dubas to give him the heads up he was doing itDubas is the rookie GM who hired a rookie Coach and implemented the stupid systems that don't work in the playoffs. I agree with you. Either way the big four is rotten.Wouldn’t the problem be those enabling the catering? These guys haven’t known anything different as professionals. This core 4 plan is shannys baby through and through

Oh you mean the GM that handed out these sweetheart contracts and told Nylander he would never trade him, and said numerous times he is riding and dying with this core?Wouldn’t the problem be those enabling the catering? Agree and his dealings today illustrate that he’s up to his old tricks, smartest guy reinventing the wheel. He’s a snake oil salesman of the highest order using up pitts cap space to prove what a genius he is.I disagree. He exposed himself.
So? With Pleks they lost in a painful way in game 7. He lost the mojo after shaving his goatiePleks actually was great in his one series. He really knew how to get under Bostons skin better than anyone.
Maybe they didn’t want to stay or leaf’s didn’t offer the same money.Where are our shiny new toys then? Why couldn't we retain ROR, Accairi, or Schenn?
