And % wise how many of their minutes do they play together?

Not sure but what I'm saying is a little unfair because it's just adding up TOI from those years and players have come and gone in the lineup but Drain has stayed.

I know this year they haven't played together that much.

This season Miller has EASILY been superior at both ends of the ice. Want proof? Look who's playing C right now.

I love Petey and want him to be top 5 but this season its a no for me. His 12 points have come as a winger, and it's been ****ing spectacular and I don't really care but let's give the #1C his due and that's JT.
Just because JT takes the face offs doesn’t mean EP plays like a winger. He’s still playing like a #1 C.

Bolded ones clearly dont belong where you put them. Take off your homer glasses.

More to being a good player than just getting points

I'm weird but I like my top 5 centres to actually play the centre position consistently. Kooky I know.
He’s been center all year. Miller and Pettersson alternate between draws on the lotto line. They also alternate between center and wing on that line.

Maybe.

1 is set in stone, then 2,3 and 4 are interchangeable (and lol with people telling than one is DEFINETLY better than another AND NOT EVEN CLOSE), and 5th is up for the taking...

Voted in the neighborhood but the more I think about it the more I lean towards him being in the conversation. Basically a player that can absolutely be in the top 5 in any given season going forward the way he’s going .

The only guys that are unquestionably better are McDavid and MacKinnon. After that, I would say the next elite tier is Matthews, Pettersson, Draisaitl, and Hughes. Then I’d say Barkov, then Crosby.

One thing that I think sets Pettersson apart a bit, that a lot of people that don’t watch the Canucks don’t consider, is he is actually an exceptional two way player. Comparing him to a guy like Hughes who doesn’t play the PK, and has a 37% FO, I take Pettersson every time.

Another thing worth noting is Pettersson plays with plug line mates most of the time. They constantly have him hauling around guys like Lafferty, Mikheyev, and other 3rd line caliber guys. When he plays with good line mates, his scoring pace is through the roof.

So I don’t know, I would say yes, he is top 5.

McDavid
MacKinnon

Pettersson/Draisaitl/Matthews (no order)

Hughes
Barkov
Crosby

Guy plays 4 games alternating offensive zone faceoffs on each players strong side and suddenly he isn’t a center
Hate to see what that means for Draisaitl, a guy glued to McDavid’s wing for years

3rd in points for C’s behind only McKinnon and JT Miller and one of the better two way centers who will end up with Selke votes.
Plus his linemates for most of the season were Mikheyev and Kuzmenko.
He certainly has a strong case. This year so far I think he clearly is.

Why would anyone care what a player did 3 years ago in a poll about who is currently a top 5 center? Especially for young centers like EP, Jack Hughes etc. Weird post.
