Leaf fans always acts like this - Marner puts up some assists and plays the PK well during the regular season, and they'll love him to death, hailing him as the next Jesus. Then, the Playoffs arrives, and Marner's nowhere to be found. This leads the leafs faithful to question Marner, saying how he's not worth all that money, but they can't get rid of him, starting to also question Marner negotiating that awful contract a few years ago, putting them in a spot in which they'd have to trade Nylander (always) instead, him having a better contract and not from Ontario.

Rinse and repeat, year after year. But oh, keep going around calling people idiots on your little keyboard if that makes your day a bit better, I don't care at all.

I think there are arguments he is the best RW. A top 5 guy at his position no doubt. People can focus on one aspect of his resume in the playoffs, fine I don't think that holds up much longer. He is a wonderful talent and one of the smartest players in the league.

Pastrnak hasn’t kept up in the past couple years. He seems to be back this year tho, so maybe a flip could happen, but he was only ppg the past two season before this while Marner was a 100+ pace point player

Pastrnak lost a child to be fair. I would bet on this being the norm of him.

I generally noticed Marner more than Matthews but difficult to pick him over the top 2/3. Certainly top 5.
