Is Keefe really the problem?

Keefe has major flaws but to think he's responsible for this seems far fetched.

Whats he supposed to do when Brad gave him a 4th line that isn't playable? A defensive mess of a d man? Limited PKers? In fact it's a testament to Keefe he has this team near .500 despite all the additions failing and no depth scoring.

There is a good chance he gets let go and things don't improve.

Yes he is. Pure and simple.

Him continuing to run the fourth line out after we'd tied the game was just baffling. I think he brings good things as a coach but his game management and line construction frustrate me frequently. Slow to adjust on all fronts. I do think his time is almost up. Wouldn't blame Tre if he cuts Keefe loose before christmas and makes a significant trade to get things trending in a different direction

Problems unfortunately extend beyond any one element at the moment. Fortunately, this doesn't necessarily mean that the team cannot work its way out of the current tailspin.

He needs to go

He has a crappy fourth line sure, but he also plays them in the weirdest times. If they are looking as ass as they have been then try 11-7 and double shift someone.

His defensive structure has also been awful. Team is making terrible plays in the dzone

He is a part of the problem. There is no one thing that can be identified as “the” problem

He is one of the problems but it is deeper than that. A major part is the poor cap distribution that Dubas set up. Dubas tried for 5 years to make it work with very little success. Now comes Tre with a lot of pressure to try and fix it and he has totally blown it.
I put most of the responsibility on Shanny. If they can’t turn this year around and go deep in the playoff Shanny, Tre and Keef should be gone and an “on the fly rebuild should take place but the problem is Will most likely will get signed and Marner/Tavares cannot be traded so we either have to resign them thus continue the nightmare or lick our wounds and let them walk for nothing. Either way we are looking at best a retool and at worst a rebuild.

Definitely Shanny deserves the heat.

I honestly don't think it would matter. The team's depth and defense is just worse overall looking at the personnel. Might as well switch it up though. But looking at the backend, especially with the injuries, it looks like a disaster.

He's one problem of several. The team kinda reminds me of the 19-20 team prior to Babcocks firing. Just sloppy, mostly disinterested play.
Ya they look like the chemistry is lacking
Maybe the holdover players are wondering why klingberg and bertuzzi are even allowed to wear the blue and white
But this team is under the gun
They may not be in a playoff spot by the time they head to Sweden
I hope I'm.over reacting but this defense isn't close to being championship calibre

Knies, bertuzzi, and domi are huge upgrades from last year. It’s on Keefe.

I’m not a keefe fan but he has absolutely nothing to work with on the backend. Awful blue line construction by Treliving.
Hard to see what trelivings goal was in his signings
To me he rolled the dice that domi klingberg and bertuzzi would have career years to get paid
Right now I'm not sure any team but San Jose or Arizona would claim any one of those 3 on waivers
After 11 games a horrible waste of 12 million in cap space

Knies is the only 1 worth the money
Keefe can't bench klingberg or bertuzzi because his boss made huge blunders
