Quite an interesting story. Only player I can recall coming close to this is Marian Hossa.

On the winning side Claude Lemuiex won two straight with two different teams.

Yes but on the Quebec side of the Ottawa river so that might explain. Although there are still a lot of Habs fans in Ottawa especially the older folks.

It was mildly amusing when he was the member of the defeated team in the SCF three years in a row, but then he spent part of a season in Chicago to break the streak, only to lose again last year. Fifth time's the charm, if Edmonton wins, maybe?

If you want to ignore the fact that he's been a productive and contributing member of these Stanley Cup finalists, and look at purely luck and suggest that Perry = guaranteed SCF loss, then...

20+ teams, especially those like Carolina, Toronto, and Winnipeg would happily take that deal. Florida obviously wouldnt. Teams like Edmonton, Dallas, Colorado, and Vegas probably would take their chances at winning a cup rather than a "guaranteed" finals loss
