He's never been close to a Norris, but three 2nd All Star teams isn't horrible. Best defenseman on 2 Cup teams. He's only 33 so there's a little bit of time for him to add to his case as a veteran. Winning Cups does a lot for the way people perceive that late career stage.

I dunno, I don't think he quite makes it but it wouldn't be a total shock if he got in someday.

I don't know, but he's been a really good player for a decade.

His defense is a little overrated but his vision has often been overlooked as he's always been an elite passer.

I absolutely don't think Kevin Lowe should be in the hall of fame, but he is. Pietrangelo's had the better career imo, so I'd say yes.

Kevin Lowe isn’t the bar for the HOF. There’s a lot of defensemen better than him who are and will stay out. He’s in because he plays golf with everyone on the voting committee.

The thing with Pietrangelo that's not sexy is that he's scary consistent. He doesn't really have down years, but he doesn't have highs either. I think he deserves it, but it might take a while.

Based on his individual quality as a player, no, he's not a Hall of Fame guy. Hall of Very Good.

But when you factor in the success he's had on numerous teams, he'll make it. 2 Cups, Olympic Gold, World Cup Gold.

Yes.

Sorry to say, we overvalued individual achievement too much.

He captained Blues to their first title and scores the cup winning goal. Plus, during his time, Blues was a perennial cup contender.

He is the most deserved HOF on that 2019 Blues team alongside ROR. If the Hall did not induct anyone from that champion team, it will be the worst roster by personnel considering even 1938 Blackhawks has Earl Seibert.

And, he lead the defence for this VGK team as number 1 d-men. So, yeah - he is a future HOF.

P. S: I still thinks Rafalski should be in.

Pietrangelo isn't at his peak, either. I'd take peak Pietrangelo over peak Karlsson every day of the week unless I'm running a fantasy team.

Peak Pietrangelo never approached peak Karlsson. Very few dmen in the league at the time came close.
