Absolutely f***ing not. I hope the Leafs get caved in during the 3rd period and Nostrils has another generational wrist injury.

Man, just sit Smith for a while until he's feeling 100% fine from the "tweak" for like at least a week of feeling 100% fine. Those tweaks can easily leave you susceptible to an actual serious injury down the road if you're not careful.... especially at his age.

Those tweakes are DEFINITELY a warning sign and should be heeded.

Playing ball I tweaked my leg and played through it. Next thing rounding second....SSSSNNNNNNAAAAAAPPPPPP, I had a torn quad. Of course baseball being the way it is, play is live...I kept going full steam and in complete agony every step.

Now I wish I either had the smarts to sit with the tweak or drop to the ground, bawled like a p***y and begged for someone to call an ambulance instead of stretching it home and then charging the catcher cause there was no way I was gonna slide or stop lol My leg has never been the same. Numbness. Tingles. Reduced strength, stamina....and a nice "dent" in the muscle.

Yeah he has but he still has those moments were he coasts back and does not back check,.

If it results in saving energy being faster than the defenders on the rush, Im ok with it.

Should we use the worlds fastest player for backchecking?

I miss the 80-90s hockey were players used to their strengths.

Remember that defending is more tireing than attacking - tireing out opposition

My speculation: Tippett was reluctant to reunite DRY because he wanted one offensively competent linemate for McDavid, and he figured that RNH was that guy. But Puljujarvi has played so well that Tippett now feels comfortable making him and McDavid a combo, rotating Kahun/Kassian/Archibald whoever on the LW, so RNH goes back with Draisaitl and Yamamoto.

Not saying I agree, just what I think his reasoning was.

I think your bang on. Nuge with McDavid was always about giving McDavid some support. Last year DRY was like stacking 3 out of 4 best forwards on one line. DRY production took up, McDavids was still good but should have been better considering it’s McDavid.

I can only think of 4 forwards to protect.
McDavid Draisaitl Puljujarvi Yamamoto
For d Nurse Bear Kulikov Larsson

Thats it

Kulikov and Larsson are both UFAs, no need to protect them.

And you wouldn't want to protect Benson/Archibald/Kahun?

I’m sick of these long breaks between games, I know this is the last one, but jeez, it feels like the momentum from the season is gone.
Every year the League finds a new way to screw the Oilers. Watch us get overplayed and burnt out with meaningless makeup games right into the playoffs. It’s the new play in round and giving up draft picks for reasons no other franchise needed to.

Who do you suggest of the LW that we have available? Holloway would have been it but he’s out

Edit: I don’t mind Nygard but he’s out, again. Hurt the hand that he broke in Sweden

Funny that before this season the top target was a 3C and a top 6 LW (and a goalie, but that is solved somehow)

Less than a year later, its a 3C and a top6 LW.

Of all of those needs, Holland should aim in to fill a quality on one of those holes with the freed cap, and one avarage.
Not two maybes.

Well the Oilers are finally starting to get cap space for solid free agents.

I do like that they gave him a say in where he would be. Maybe he feels like he’s learning more practicing with actual NHL players rather than spending another season in the AHL.

It probably has more to do with getting a nhl salary vs an AHL salary
