I don't expect to see system changes tonight. I expect to see a very different level of effort and atte tips to detail.

Only thing I think we may see is maybe more aggression on the PK like they were starting to do a few days ago.

Yeah, I'm hoping to see more urgency tonight.

Also interested to watch Scheifme and see if he gives more of a hopping hoot tonight.

Tonight’s play will be more about the players response to PoMos firing over Lowry’s system changes as there hasn’t been enough time for Lowry to implement any real changes beyond lineups.
Won’t be able to say much about his approach for at least a week, maybe more

I was just saying, don’t expect much tonight and, aside from lineups, we can’t put any of what happens tonight on Lowry.
He hasn’t had any time to implement anything.
Give him a week or 2 to get his vision out.

Sorry for the misread and yeah, for sure -- not expecting anything for the next few games but better roster deployment, load management and overall team effort, Anything beyond that is going to take more than a practice or two.

Treat him the same as any other rookie, IMO.

i really dont care what he says in his intro press-conference. what matters is what he does with the roster, and how the team performs. people on here and in the media ate up maurice's nice guy persona (act?) and wanted to keep him for to long b/c he seemed like a nice guy and was super cordial. seriously, that stuff is tertiary. what matters is team performance and idk how individuals are happy with the team's performance since 17-18, especially given the pieces on this team, notably the forward group and goaltender.

I want to hear what he has to say about his philosophy and systems but the true evaluation will be if he follows through with what he says to the media.

Maurice had the gift of sounding intelligent but then never following through on what he said. If Lowry does the same then I will quickly tune him out like I did Paul.

i just hope whatever happens that there is a clear boundary RE: the relationship between owner and coach. chipman couldn't see past maurice's expiry date to the point where maurice basically was burnt out and turfed himself. it's sad.

IDK, man. Seems generous. 3-5 minutes in hockey time is roughly 7 1/2 years in fan time, according to my coaching NHLE decoder ring.

Interesting that Dave has not spoken with his son yet about this. For some reason this comes across as confidence & mirrors mine that one Player on this Team who we don’t need to worry about is Adam.

Any opinion on whether he is the right guy or not going forward is definitely justified; but, I think we should all agree he deserves this stretch to prove his worth to the organization and if he can drive home his message to the group.

On a side note. I think I'm going to refer to Charlie Huddy as "The Teflon Don" from now on. Guy is about as untouchable as John Gotti in his heyday. Seems appropriate.

To bad Maurice couldn't persuade Huddy to resign, oh well there is always the offseason and whoever becomes the next coach

Pretty sure I heard in Dave's interview on the radio that he was responsible for the last two practices, yesterday and today. So he is responsible for putting the lines back together, and everyone inside knew about this for a couple of days.

I feel the same way. Andrew Hustler Patterson, someone who use to work for TNSE, stated on his show today that Chipman involves himself in every aspect of the team. On and off the ice. I always got the idea that Maurice was a knee pads type of guy and would go along with what upstairs wanted. Dave Lowry played an all full long time and won't be manipulated by a Harold Ballard sort. Although Chipman is much more subtle but has a former equipment guy as a sidekick not a former star and coach like King Clancy. The truth is it was Schiefele who took advantage of the situation and if anyone besides Maurice is to blame for this it was him. His effort level since the Knights series has been very inconsistent. My bet is Dave Lowry knows how to fix that and will. Best of luck to Dave.
