Definitely.I'm betting this is an interim position and they wait to see who is available in the off-season.
I think Lowry is a good coach, did well in junior and as an assistant. Jamie Kompon is a guy who deserves a chance behind the NHL bench one day.
What I really hope is that Lowry properly assesses his staff and then assigns them roles and then allows them to carry them out with minimal interference.
I still remember how dynamic our pp looked thrbone preseason where Kompton was calling the shots while Moe was off at the World Cup. I'd like to see what he can do with it if he's given full reign.
I expect Lowry will likely take a pretty big hands on approach on the PK atleast initially.
I have far more tempered expectations.........HC's are like buying new used tires to replace your old used tires........I literally like 2-3 HC's and thats about it.......the rest are just meh/same old crap in my eyes at least until they prove me wrong. I will wait and see how Lowry does, while I'm happy PMO is gone I'm not excited by Lowry or any new coach until they prove they're not just doing/saying the same crap in a different way.
Tell him to take Beaulieu with himThe first thing Lowry needs to do is put Huddy in the pressbox, telling him he wants a different perspective on the game, and then forget he left him there.
I get it’s 2021 and needing cross chemistry is important, but for me… put lines together that work and then leave them the hell alone.
KFC - PLD should be stapled together… find an RW that fits, then leave them alone.
Scheifele and Ehlers work… find an LW and crazy glue them together.
Let the line mates get so comfortable together they can make passes to each other blindfolded,
and never…NEVER…put Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler together again.
ExactlyAgreed, we should be looking for stable pairings with players and then move around the other pieces as needed.
Conner PLD
Scheifele Ehlers
Copp Lowry
All three of those pairings work well together, plug and play Stastny, Svech, Ves, Wheeler (when back) as needed.

I like Svechnikov, and what he’s been doing, so I’d keep him around, but if we are keeping Copp, I’d be looking to move Vesalainen.Agreed, we should be looking for stable pairings with players and then move around the other pieces as needed.
