Dunno where else to post this, but on a momentous night like tonight, where's Mr. Goegan?

About to enter the Panama Canal, but I'm following from afar!
CBJ, CBJ, CBJ!!!
Remember when we started a season with this guy as our top line center... Too bad he wasn't doing things like this.
Platt was ok for us, but one of those classic tweeners. A monster in the AHL, too small for the NHL.
Geoff Platt is a nice Belarusian guy now, should play at the next World Championship for pleasure of the last dictator in Europe.
Dayum.

Yeah, if he could've done that more often I'd have remembered him better. I do clearly remember him being a #1C stand-in for us (if nothing else, from interviews in which he was asked "how awesome is it to be centering Rick Nash and David Vyborny?"), but I didn't realize he started the season in that role - partly because I was still just getting started with learning how to actually watch NHL hockey around that time.
Hartigan? Srsly? I remember Brule being the Inevitable Heir Apparent, but I admittedly wasn't paying close attention.I believe that's back when we were waiting for Fritsche or Mark Hartigan to step up and be our #1C. Man am I glad those days are gone....
I don't think I have seen someone give a more awkward interview on the Jackets as Cory Tropp. It looks like he'd rather be anywhere else.
I remember his very first post game interview. Ugh. It seemed like he has a language processing delay. That's no slight on his intelligence, you can be very bright and still have a language delay. Could be he is extremely shy, and the interviews unnerve him. But, yeah, it's awkward as hell and uncomfortable to watch.

At Black Tie, Tropp stayed behind other guys and aside. Did not participate in a lot of the schmoozing players do at that type of benefit. So.... Maybe really shy???

AC/DC are ending their 41 year career on a terribly sad note.
About 3 weeks ago, founding member, rhythm guitarist, co-producer and co-songwriter Malcolm Young had a stroke, which left a blood clot on his brain.
When AC/DC reunited at the start of April to begin a month of rehearsals, in the lead-up to new album recording sessions, Malcolm discovered he couldn't play. At least, he couldn't play like he used to play.
Although friends have described Malcolm's condition as serious, it doesn't mean he won't recover. People do get better after strokes, and people do recover lost skills.
But friends and family of band members believe the decision was made last week to call it quits.
Right now, that announcement is expected Tuesday, April 16, and a press conference has been scheduled.
AC/DC won't continue playing and recording without Malcolm.
