So far, our two big acquisitions have kinda failed - Gaborik and Horton. Nice to see the guys with less name value to step it up and carry the team

Since when do boys or girls from BKLYN go to Manhattan??? Must have been a big date in the city eh... :)

Just kidding, if the Jackets make the post season wear your CBJ hat with pride in the city, they know who the Jackets are but won't admit it... ;)

I told you, I was working :)

Also, I only live in Brooklyn. I'm from Columbus.

Jenner and Johansen are Howson's guys. Gabby and Horton are not. Now, I'm not giving up at all on Horton yet. I think when he breaks loose it will be in a big way. This year would not be too soon.

I just saw this video. Look who gets the jersey first. That's disgraceful for the franchise.

....that's not a Blackhawks jersey.

Chicago has never had a solid white collar at any point in their history. They've never had rectangular shoulder patches. They've never had arched writing above or below a logo on the front of the jersey. They've never had that style of striping on the body.

Anything else?

Those fans who were screaming "He doesn't deserve it" were thinking that's a Hawks jersey and I missed the shot at jumbotron. I still dislike everyone who's wearing a red jersey in NW.

What if someone was wearing a Portland Winterhawks Ryan Johansen jersey? Basically a duplicate of the Blackhawks jersey but of a current fan favourite and star player for the Blue Jackets.

What if someone was wearing a Flyers Bob jersey? I wouldn't like it. Those teams are in the past. If you support the Jackets get his Jackets jersey, not that looks like a jersey of their competitor.
Same goes to the OSU gear at the Jackets games.

If it's not an NHL team's jersey, I don't see what the problem is?

To me, wearing an obscure or local team's jersey to a Jackets game seems fine as it's more a celebration of the sport rather than a specific team that is in competition with the Jackets. I think you can support a local team without compromising or infringing on your support of an NHL team. Would wearing a Chill jersey to a Jackets game be considered taboo? I don't think it would be. How about the aforementioned Portland Winterhawks Ryan Johansen jersey?

Now, I don't think you can support one NHL team without infringing on your ability or overall degree of support of another NHL team, but that's just my personal view and I know it's controversial.

It was some Russian team or something. I read it as he walked out on the ice. I don't remember or know who they were. Definitely not a hawks jersey. Otherwise id have felt the same way.

Yeah. It wasn't a Hawks jersey. I did a double take at the game too. Although there was a fan with very old Toronto sweater who won a Jersey. I think CBJ have worked hard to take care of their fans on prize giveaways. I know I was in 101 on Friday with about 85% Chicago fans. Stinger was trying to make sure that only CBJ fans were getting the free pizzas.

It's not a big deal, probably I've seen too many red jerseys in NW during a Hawks or Wings games so that affected my personal perception of that color at the Jackets games.

I had a guess and made a little research. That was a Metallurg Novokuznetsk jersey from 5-6 years ago, one Jackets player used to wear it playing for his hometown team:

Me and those screaming fans were wrong. My apologies to the guy, I guess that could be a pleasant surprise for BOB. But I still don't like a red colored jerseys in the stands.

Former CBJ Grant Marshall is on NHL Live right now, and he said he thinks it will hurt the Jackets' young players if they make the playoffs.

We all know an extended golfing season is what's best for young players, just ask Zherdev and Brassard. :sarcasm:

Yeah I saw that too. The two hosts of the show were like hmmm ok.. Guy probably hasn't watched one CBJ game all year.

I guess the Oilers miss playoffs every year to protect their young stars from being hurt. Toews and Kane looked really damaged after they made playoffs so early in their career.

Agreed, considering he didn't mention one player by name and gave zero examples/reasons to back up his statement.

If I'm not mistaken, he's still on the Devils' payroll, which would be consistent with the constant whining/sense of entitlement of that fanbase.
