Meh. I never really held the trade request against him and I still don't - mostly because I've always seen that less as a "get me out of here" and more of a realization of "I'm not good enough to be the savior here." Call it a rationalization if you like, but that's what I believe and that's where I stand.

Still hoping he comes back after that current contract is up. At a reasonable rate, of course. And preferably to a team that's already won a Cup, because, yeah, maybe there's a tiny vestigial amount of bitterness there. :D

If I saw him on the street or in a bar I'd thank him for his time in Columbus. When he's wearing a NYR jersey in a game that's critical I really could do without a video tribute to him. If that makes me a D-bag so be it.

Agreed, he wanted out; so be it.

Is him Nash??? If not ignor this post...

If so, you can't be serious.... I respect you Viqsi, a lot.... but thinking he will ever be a CBJ again is fools talk...

I wouldn't count it out. Unless of course the CBJ weren't interested in him when he were to be a UFA.

Nash, back? Ugh. Let's let him play out his contract first, but if he isn't playing markedly better then than he is now then you're out of your mind. Guy's a big talented bum. Go ask Rangers fans how they feel about him. Lucky for Nash they've got Richards on the roster to take the brunt of the blame.

Yes, I'm referring to Nash. Other teams have had departed folks come back for "one last hurrah" before. I'm not suggesting trading for him - that would be absurd - or adding him as some kind of major answer to scoring - that's almost as crazy - but rather some sort of end-of-career send-off value contract, when he's no longer a star per se but still a contributing player.

Or, IOW...

I could see Nash coming back. But it would be a 1 year deal for dirt cheap and his last year in the NHL. So basically not for a long time.

...something like this.

He's a nice enough guy, but every fan has their right to cheer or boo him. Personally like someone else said I'll cheer the tribute, then boo whenever he touches the puck. if nothing else he's pretty thin skinned so a few boos may get him out of his comfort zone. Bottom line I hope we beat them soundly, just to give them something to think about.
As for Nash coming back - never say never I guess. I couldn't imagine in his prime that we want him, but if team starts winning and we need to make another bad trade at the deadline for an over the hill, over-paid ex-40 goal scorer, then sure he's in play :) Just kidding who knows he liked it here, I assume he kept his membership at Scioto, so never can rule it out but would have to be down the road when the team had an identity that he fit in with. No way would they ever consider bringing him back as a building block.
Also sounds like Bill Davidge may be retiring next season too. Maybe that will be Jody's opportunity?

#CBJ outhit the #Habs 36-17 even though they appeared to have the puck all night.

“We’re a bunch of little rats, just in your face the whole game,†Johansen said. “That’s our identity.â€

.....little rats...wonder if this is going to be a "thing".

I hope the little rats thing doesn't stick.
1. That was the Florida panthers and Scott mellenby
2. There's nothing little about Joey

Something to consider for the Dallas makeup game. The Stars have lost 3 in a row and currently sit 4 points out of the wildcard in the West. if their slide continues, they may not have much to play for in that game.

Considering they'll start the game already down 1-0, it might end up taking some pressure off the CBJ during that final week with 4 games in 5 days. Those 4 games could end up being against 2 teams who already have playoffs wrapped up and are playing for seeding (PHX and TBL) and 2 games against teams not playing for anything. (DAL and FLA)

From last night's post game Puck Raker's

Atkinson’s goal was his fifth game-winner of the season, tied with Nick Foligno for tops on the team.

That's great company, good for him! I was really very concerned by his incident in Springfield, last year, I'm delighted to have been wrong. One thing I really like is the emergence of his personality, he is much more relaxed and joyful (in honor of Claude) than before. Great to see, his potential seems unlimited.

There was a nice moment in the game last night on the scoreboard as one of the cameras between the benches focused in on Joey taping his stick during a stoppage. When he was done he stuck the rest of the tape on the glass in front of the camera to kind of block himself out and was laughing....in the middle of a 2-1 game that could effectively end their season. Hoping this made it onto the broadcast.

Don't know if it was on the broadcast, but I've seen it reported in several places. That was one of the incidents that I felt displayed his emerging personality. Really love what it says about his confidence and attitude.

I noticed before the game as well during warm-ups that some of the veteran guys were messing with Cam, knocking him around while he was waiting in line and knocking his stick out...they seemed to be in good spirits :D

I am shocked. Shocked!

I got in the car, turned on the radio to 97.1, and heard extensive, knowledgeable, and positive talk about hockey and the Blue Jackets! I know that several of you have claimed that Rothman and his partner did this, but it had only been rumor to me. All I can say is...

About time!!
