I am curious as to what's actually the root cause of the blurred vision. I was under the assumption there was no structural damage according to initial reports....

No reason to rush Staal. We need him badly, but I'd rather have him come in at 100% than rush it.

I'm doubtful if he'll ever be truly 100% again. If he's still having blurry vision I doubt that eye will ever be back to normal. Doesn't mean he won't be able to play, but sucks nonetheless.

Based on what medical opinion have you come to this conclusion? He suffered a major injury not all that long ago. It may take months for the vision to return to 100%.

You're a Dr. right? This is a factual medical diagnosis? A month after the guy gets his eyeball obliterated and that's as much healing as is going to happen?

My lord..............

No I'm not a doctor. I do know the swelling has gone down and he still has blurry vision. Not a great sign. The eye is extremely delicate. Like I said, he'll be back on the ice soon enough. But to think the vision in that eye will be 100% for sure is optimistic. You said it yourself, it got "obliterated." I'm sure it can get to 85-90%, but 100%? Probably not. Not saing it's a death knell for his career either.

People on here love jumping down each other's throats. Yeesh.

Not good news. Hopefully over time his vision will come back close to if not to where it was pre-injury (thats the most important thing), BUT it seems like for the rest of this year/playoffs I doubt his vision will be 100 percent.

People also love "woe is me" doom and gloom speculating, often without appropriate facts.

Obviously it's a really bad injury. And given the way things work forthe Rangers it's hard not to expect the worst. But in this case, IMO, it is still too early to be making declarations either way.

I do doubt we see him as soon as expected. Yes a lot can change, but the situation is so delicate that the vision may still be impaired for a while. We also may not know the whole situation because the Rangers like their privacy.

Right, so admittedly you are not a doctor. Yet, from what we've heard the doctors are optimistic that he will, in time, make a full recovery. Despite this you are making statements to the contrary and are wondering why people are jumping down your throat.

If there is a lesson to be learned; Wear. A. ****ing. Visor.

The blurriness might go away in time, no need to be panicked just yet. With that said, damn we miss staal.

so call up Kreider and pray he starts scoring and sparks the team?

then if Boyle gets back sit Pyatt?

Saw Cerny on twitter say Boyle didn't know the exact injury, but was going to the doctor tomorrow.

Lol how can someone not know their own injury hahahah. The way this team handles injuries is hilarious.

I think we can assume something with his right leg. Hip Pointer, possibly a knee sprain.

He may know it is his knee, but what part? That takes a MRI. No need to speculate. It was bad enough for him not to return.

This seem to be a common theme. I head that Staal is out because Colin White told him to sit for a few more weeks.
