Gibbons is a great playmaker which right now kind of sucks for him. Our 2 real goal scorers in the lineup are Joey and Atkinson. He's not gonna be on the 1st line and I doubt they would put Gibbons and Atkinson together. It will be tough for him to continue to put up points but if he does thats fairly impressive i think

I love it when we get to blame players for their injuries.
Not sure 'fragile' makes a lot of sense. He's missed games due to two rather significant injuries. "glass" and "fragile" describe someone who is often injured in many ways and that doesn't seem to fit here. Way too soon to label the kid one way or another - for reasonable people anyway.

Missed most of his post draft year with shoulder injury; missed 16 games last year; now this knee thing lingers. If he has this kind of injury history at his youthful age I think it does make you wonder about his longevity. Hopefully its just a string of misfortune that will become a long forgotten memory 12 years down the road.

If jarmo was GM at that time I might be a little more upset then howson. But it's way too early in his career to really be worried IMO.
