Looks like #CBJ will get LW Boone Jenner back on Tuesday vs #Canes. Possibility LW Matt Calvert joins lineup, too. Both had full skates.

#CBJ C Boone Jenner (hand) taking a regular shift at practice, on right side on Wennberg. No Scott Hartnell, but told he's resting.

No D Ryan Murray, either, but could be a day of rest for him, too. Back to back on the knee could take toll. No word yet on Cody Goloubef.

Phew.

However I'd much rather see Jenner centering Wennberg..

Also any news on Anisimov? I take it he's still day to day?

So assuming Anisimov is not ready yet, the lines may look something like this?

Hartnell - Johansen - Atkinson
Calvert - Foligno - Dano
Skille - Jenner - Wennberg
Gibbons - Chaput - Boll

Not outstanding, but just barely good enough (with decent goaltending) to beat Carolina.

expect Gibbons - Foligno - Skille to remain in tact...

Hartnell - Joey - Atkinson
Gibbons - Foligno - Skille
Calvert - Jenner - Dano
Wennberg - Chaput - Tropp

Don't see Wennberg playing 4th line minutes.

Also, sadly, Boll would slot in over Tropp. We've seen this scenario before.

If both Calvert and Jenner are back, doesn't someone need sent down? (Collins?)
'

If someone is TO BE sent down I assume it would be Collins. And if both are back someone else needs to go also unless Golo is put on IR and we gamble with only 6 D. Lots of candidates for the 2nd guy to be sent down.

Wennberg probably stays until Anisimov is back; Cracknell? Tropp? Bury the one way deal? Gibbons? He looked pretty good the other night.

With all the coming and goings its hard to keep up but I think we need to clear 2 spaces.

Alternative answer: Only if we can't "press box" him :sarcasm:

I'm glad to see Jenner back. He had great chemistry with Johansen, but sounds like he won't be playing beside him?

So my guess would be

Hartnell-Johansen-Atkinson
Gibbons-Foligno-Skille
Calvert-Jenner/Wennberg-Wennberg/Jenner.
Collins-Chaput-Boll

There's just no way Wennberg stays at C if Jenner is healthy and game ready unless Wennberg can start wining faceoffs. I do like the idea of that line though.

Europe. Somewhere.
I understand easing him in, but I'd like to see Jenner on the 2nd line with Foligno and maybe Calvert. Gives them two legitimate scoring lines I think rather than the top line and then a couple of muddled question marks with the likes of Wennberg, Dano and Gibbons who simply aren't suited for a top 6 role atm.

But... it's all good if he needs a game or two to get in game shape. His situation is a bit different to RyJo's obviously with nursing an injury.

I think it wouldn't hurt to keep Gibbons with Foligno for another game on the 2nd line. 2 points for Gibby during the NJD game certainly isn't a cause for major concern.
