 Yeah, not a good option.

I'm just not enamored with the idea of having the #1 and #2 centers be Mack and Dutchy down the road. While I am sure both will get better defensively I think their styles are too similar to provide a good 1-2 punch. It would be too easy to devise a game plan that would work at stopping both of them.

And then their top line wingers are? PA, McGinn, Tanguay and who? Mitchell! One injury and McLeod is in the top 6!

I'm confident we will make the playoffs.

I think everybody agrees that this defense is not good enough once in the playoffs but I'm in the group that thinks we should let things play out. Of course if a great deal comes along then they should jump on it. However if not let see what our prospects do come training camp. We have Siemens, Bigras and Young (yes I think he will surprise a lot of people) that could steal a spot and we could also sign one dman as UFA. Lots of possibilities down the road. No reason to overreact now. Our window has yet to open to contend for the cup but I think we are getting close. Another #2 or #3 dman without disrupting too much our forwards plus better depth up front and I think we would be there

I posted in the Kings forum and they are really intrigued by a trade of PAP for Regher and a 2nd round pick. He would instantly be our top 4 D man we are looking for. Would hate to lose PAP but the trade definitely helps our back end. Barrie and Regher as 2nd unit would be nice. We did just fine without PAP in the line up as well..

Do we really want Regehr? He's not exactly the most mobile of players. I would imagine Lombardi would drive Regehr faster to the airport then Regehr could pack.

That is so short sighted dude. I don't want any part in that trade.

That's really bad for Avs. Regehr is playing 16.5 minutes per game in January and that's with a coach that's in love with slow lumbering defenders.

I bet every sane Kings fan said "yes please".

Not even for the next year to year and half until one of our prospects is ready? He may not be super mobile but he's a huge upgrade over Wilson, Sarich. Plus we get a 2nd rounder included.

A 2nd rounder? It's a King's second rounder which means early 3rd rounder. And we lose our depth up front for a minor upgrade on the back end. Not good.

Regher might have been the defensemen we were looking for 5 or more years ago.

Regehr would have retired after last season but Sutter convinced him to sign on again. Can't see LA trading him.

That would be awful trade. Regehr is close to done. We can get better defenseman for Parenteau.

I threw up in my mouth a little bit looking at this.
No way on earth would we do that trade. Makes no sense for us and as other have said, he is almost done.

Don't get the obsession with trying to trade PAP.

I hope the Blues get Miller. Avs won't beat them anyways, but it would be nice to see them give away some more futures. Of course Miller makes them the favourites for the Cup (if they're not already). Anyone know what Miller wants anyways? Cup contender? Team close to home town? Lots of money? I wonder if he would re-sign in St. Louis.

It'll be interesting too if L.A adds Moulson. Buffalo will have done alright with Vanek, ending up with a possible top-5 pick, and then another first round pick most likely. Maybe a long shot prospect too. The Islanders should try and recoup losses on Vanek. It would be cool if the Kings went after Vanek instead of Moulson, strictly as a rental.

I think I'm just petty, but I dislike the Blues. I dislike Hitchcock. I want to see them get swept in the first round.

I'm looking forward to seeing Moulson move, just to get an idea on the value of Stastny. Buffalo really should re-sign Moulson though.

With Miller all I know is his wife is an actress or something so she's either from LA or lives there part time. Anyway, Miller wants to play on a team as close to LA as possible.

Then L.A should trade for Miller and have him sit in the press box just so the Blues can't have him.:sarcasm:
