I'm not going to crap on anyone for what they make. That's low.

But I'm also not going to backslap what is basically an artless distributor of propaganda. If you are going to be in the business of licking boots at least write an entertaining column. Just my meaningless two cents on that matter. I praise the good ones... but Yohe ain't that.

But you're demanding that a person risk their (not that gainful) employment so that they can agree with your opinions on the team you follow.

It's a little unreasonable. It's clear that being nice is part of gaining access in this town.

I mean it seems like something one of the characters would say in the Menu before they were murdered.

“But I had a 4.86 Uber rating!!!!!”

I know! I said if I was on that island, I wouldn't make it off.

But I would have no desire to go in the first place.

I also like how I said "4.89" and you changed it "4.86."
Even in parody you can't help but distort numbers to your advantage, lol. special quinoa man.

I pay for the Athletic, I feel like I’m able to be critical of the writers covering the team I pay for.

The entire point of the Athletic was to have a new type of journalism. Nothing Yohe does is refreshing. At least Rossi is just doing his typical “people pieces”. Yohe tries to ride the line between team voice and critical analyst.

Don't mistake my dismissive attitude as cruelty. I have nothing personal against these people. Sure I know I can come across as very caustic towards them but in the end I completely understand what point you are making here and have for years. Access is everything. But it's also why these individuals are hopelessly compromised as reliable purveyors of truth, accuracy and thorough investigation. They are telling you what the team wants you to know and nothing more. To me that simply isn't terribly useful.

Weird how the best Athletic writers like Russo are able to do massive exposes on people like Fenton and still remain employed.

Sean Gentille just butchered Rutherford’s work in PIT and VAN on the Athletic podcast on Friday.

Yohe is still including JR quotes every few months and propping up Tocchet as some type of tactical genius.

I don’t use Uber because it costs like 30 dollars to 5 miles now.
I barely do either. My rating is largely from the past before they started trying to make money.

Sorry I even brought it up. I think it's a pretty good proxy for "do you treat service workers like shit" and it's quantitative. You may even call it a SMART objective in your line of work.

You distorting my number even in parody is hilarious and a little pathological

I really, really, really wish actual public transportation was more a thing in this country.
The devil is in the details. If we have an ideological commitment to rail, and I get it, rail is really cool...it will take forever to implement. Aside from very localized corridors where it would be appealing: (Houston to Dallas), upgrading the Acela, California's probably gonna spend $1T to have something half done by 2040 because of course it is.

There aren't enough people clamoring to go from Pittsburgh -- Chicago -- Denver by rail.

But having said that I think we could really upgrade our bus network in a hurry. Buses scale infinitely faster

I know, I'm just saying I didn't understand the reason for light blue because it looks goofy on that team. Even If they used the traditional navy blue that they brought out in the late 90s that would have made more sense (and look alot better).

Unless they were paying homage to these thirds. I think they wore these in the early 2010s (I forget) but I thought these were ugly too.

My point was that 99% of the Reverse Retros have been the worst jersey designs any of us have ever seen and Adidas/RBK finally pissing off from their contract with the NHL is a great thing.

The Pens RR were all shit.

Honestly I was thinking more bus-oriented myself due to the challenges posed by rail here and now. Though I DO think it's a shame that heavy and light rail, trolleys, etc used to criss cross this whole region not that long ago and we just... abandoned it wholesale. I live out in the boonies FFS and a trolley used to come all the way out here back in the day.

Heavy shipping over land without the benefit of enough rail to mitigate the burden has caused a lot of stress and added expense to maintaining our roads and highways. And air shipping never quite panned out the way people imagined years ago.

a lotta yall still dont get it

Ruhwedel holders can use multiple slurp juices on a single Ruh

so if you have 1 astro Ruh and 3 slurp juices you can create 3 new Ruhwedels

Tonight's slurp juice mint event is essentially a minting event for both Lab Monkes and Sully Forces

Rail probably would help tourism all across the country. People may not be clamoring to go certain places but more tempted to go on a 3 day trip with everything included where you don't even have to think about the headache of driving all over.

I don’t even think the Athletic are worth the Dollar per month I pay them. But that ripping of the Rangers for their pride warm up jersey cowardice and Yohe finally growing a pair of bollocks and calling out Sullivan, it finally paid off.
