Imagine if Sullivan utilized youth correctly. Than they likely wouldn’t have signed Carter.
Even having a group of wingers like Zucker, Rakell, Guentzel, Rust is pretty good when you have the top six center depth we do.
Worked out a lot better than the “big game fishing” by Rutherford outside of Phil.
Hornqvist was the first move. Then Kessel.
It's funny to me that Carter's regression that everyone saw coming except this dumdum team made the decision for them regardless. It's just that now they are on the hook for another year of... whatever he'd doing out there.

True.
That was a confusing day for me. I wasn't sure if people forgot that he was like 37 at the time or whatever.
I remember being butchered for saying we should’ve signed Rodrigues for that amount if we were doing it.
Now everyone complains about Rodrigues leaving. Same with McCann being our 3C. Everyone hated that idea too, but now we missed them.

Hornqvist is a big fish? Lol

The team hemorrhaged their assets and put too much stalk into their 4th line.
Yes. it changed the landscape of how the team played. That, and it cost a big fish.
Hornqvist had two good playoff runs here. One resulted in a cup when he was stapled to Sid. The other ended up in genius coach pulling him off Sid’s line for Simon despite Sid putting up Mario numbers.
He was a good solider here, but he did jack shit to the “team identity” in 14-15.
The kid's drawing of Chad is priceless.
I think he is alright at this point at wing.Hornqvist is a big fish? Lol

Some people complain about almost every player that leaves. Horny, Phil, flurry, etc.I remember being butchered for saying we should’ve signed Rodrigues for that amount if we were doing it.

That was Sid more than the coach, and I'd garnish Hornqvist value to that of Kunitz back in 2009.
Edit: to your edit. Horqvist was 25-26 for 51 points in 64 games. A go getter, and the better front net. Also, Sheary was with Sid in the playoffs and bounced around.
The latter sentence has nothing to do with HR.Apparently saying this is “thinking everyone is amazing” and “being a horrible person because you work in HR”.
Dude. That strategy has been bank since the beginning of time. It's hilarious to me that a bunch of grown-ass people fell for the ol "make it sound super complicated so it'll confuse people into thinking it's actually smart" trick.
Dude. That strategy has been bank since the beginning of time.
Agree on all points. Beth Harmon was Queen's Gambit, right? Can't remember Taylor-Joy's character in Peaky Blinders. Her dress in The Menu is da bomb.If I were to answer this question, probably somewhere in between.
But really, the Beth Harmon character is the only one presented sympathetically. The "us" end up killing everyone and are general psychopaths in a cult. Not exactly a team you want to play on.
I grew up with some upper-middle class privilege. But I've always treated service workers well, my Uber rating's 4.89/5. And despite my many years living in Chicago, I never had the desire to visit Alinea which is one of the main entities parodied in the film. The fine dining/foodie cult really sucks. I've felt that way for years. I'd rather eat some mexican or thai food or ramen/pho than whatever that is. But there were people who were dragged to the restaurant that he killed based on class, so if I found myself there I wouldn't have made it out alive.
The posters who relentlessly rip on Josh Yohe, who makes about as much as the local librarian I'm about to visit, while relentlessly pumping players making >=$6M USD annually (aside from whichever one they vote off the island on a given year) are definitely "them" though.
Dude. That strategy has been bank since the beginning of time.
The only tangible thing the blockchain ever provided me was a colorable excuse to purchase a badass Nvidia GPU because I was going to, ahem, "mine".The blockchain, bro.
You can like, make sure your widgets are on a container ship, fraud free. Clearly a multi-trillion dollar technology.
She's a great actress. She really shone in the movie, as did Fiennes honestly.Agree on all points. Beth Harmon was Queen's Gambit, right? Can't remember Taylor-Joy's character in Peaky Blinders. Her dress in The Menu is da bomb.
Of course you are entitled to whatever critical commentary you like. But may I humbly suggest you pay attention to some of your editorial license. You've made numerous posts either claiming or alluding to takes Yohe didn't even f***ing make to the delight of others who "liked" without even reading the articles in question. I grew up with real newspapers and a great generation of sportswriters, so I'm under no illusion here as to the quality of our sports-journalism these days, but I think you can swing at higher hanging fruit.I pay for the Athletic, I feel like I’m able to be critical of the writers covering the team I pay for.
The entire point of the Athletic was to have a new type of journalism. Nothing Yohe does is refreshing. At least Rossi is just doing his typical “people pieces”. Yohe tries to ride the line between team voice and critical analyst.
Her "date" truly has the most punchable face ever! She's a great actress. She really shone in the movie, as did Fiennes honestly.
I really enjoyed the movie and though it was parody, it confirmed my desire to not get into weird foodie nonsense.
Her "date" truly has the most punchable face ever!

As for The Athletic, it's raison d'être was to deliver a purely subscription-based publication, versus being ad-supported. If you want deep dives in any number of sport topics you can find it there. They just completed a detailed review of NHL team prospects with far more detail or meat than anything I've read in ESPN or TSN in, like, forever. They've published several original investigations regarding workplace misconduct, just ask the Mavs or LSU. But these deep dives are not Josh Yohe's job, he is essentially a low-rent beat writer, for which access is absolutely essential. No need to be cruel.
Her "date" truly has the most punchable face ever!
Hmmmm. I wonder if Russo and Gentille's content is different (while excellent, I agree) is because they aren't spending half their lives chasing the team and wrapping post-game writeups in 90 minutes while on the road staying in shitty hotels. Different horses for different courses. (I admit I really don't know what the f*** that means, but I wanted to type it)Weird how the best Athletic writers like Russo are able to do massive exposes on people like Fenton and still remain employed.
Sean Gentille just butchered Rutherford’s work in PIT and VAN on the Athletic podcast on Friday.
Yohe is still including JR quotes every few months and propping up Tocchet as some type of tactical genius.
Chef's drunk mom sure thought he was handsome! The critic (McTeer) is another amazing actor. If you haven't seen "Ozark", drop your linen and stop your grinin. Even some accounting angles. In reality he is better looking than 99% of all men, at least.
But he made himself punchable. Fiennes and his people were the big baddies in the movie, but the most villainous characters were the date and the critic.
