Money aside, the Flames would be a great fit IMO. Marchand with Bennett would be phenomenal or if he can play RW with Gaudreau and Monahan would be deadly.

Brouwer and Tkachuck on the right hand side is pretty good already for the Flames.

As a few have said, Anaheim would be a perfect fit stylistically. Tough and skilled.

Ehh idk. Those guys are all skilled so they'd probably make it work but Getz/Perry are very much 'slow it down, East-West' type players. They don't seem big on the guys that favor straight ahead speed. The obvious recent illustration were Hagelin's struggles in ANA and then Perron gets there and his 'pull-up, look for developing play' style fit that line like a glove.

I don't think you watch enough Marchand if you think straight line speed is close to his primary game.

best fit?

Montreal, Dallas (if they could move out some cash but i think he's a better east player), Washington (if they moved cash out). Those would be my 3 bets.

Did Eriksson, Ladd, Okposo, Lucic and others not get $6 million AAV or so deals? Why is Marchand going to get a million more than literally 7 other top line players

I mean, come on. Eriksson had 30 goals and 63 points last year. Marchand had 37 goals and 60 point last year. Why is Eriksson only getting $6 million but Marchand will get over $7 million?

Because he scores more goals than those guys, is younger, and brings way more to the table in terms of penalty killing and being a mighty pest that is difficult to play against. There is a reason he was playing first line on team Canada and didn't look out of place. He is definitely worth a million more than Lucic and Louie Ericsson.

He had pretty good chemistry with Duchene at the World Championships, and Colorado will have a LOT of cap space next year.

If Rakell leaves it's pretty much forcing Murray's hand to get one of Marchand, Tatar, JVR. We'll be the first blockbuster trade of the season. No way can our roster go into the season looking like this with a bunch of rookies.

Lindholm not signed = Theodore
Rakell not signed = Nick Ritchie

All whom will be juggled in the lines and hogging up some minutes
