Looks fairly obvious at this point that Marazk is coming back in a tandem situation. The more I think about it, the more I'm OK with it.

With that said, the second player in the tandem had better be someone capable in the realm of Husso, MAF or Blackwood

Let's face it, we are not going get a goalie to carry us through the playoffs. The guys we have in front of the goalie will have to nut up sooner or later. Colorado carried Kuemper, not the other way around. Whoever we're going to get, is going to be average at best.

I think we can scratch Chicago off that list. The Hawks are stripping it down and going into a rebuild. They won’t be paying big money for a goalie. They have visions of Bedard….

They have no goalies signed. They are going to sign someone and they might make a big offer if they have cap space.

As far as Matt Murray goes, this isn’t any type of endorsement whatsoever, but Ottawa was the absolute worst defensive team I saw last couple years and unfortunately that was a lot. Just brutal in their own end. Again, he scares the crap out of me as a viable 1 here, but it’s a complicated metric to unravel his true numbers, based on that tire fire of a team defensively.

Yeah, you must be another one close to enemy lines......they were horrible defensively, and Murray was decently OK, but Forsberg was insane at times. He (Forsberg) would be my ask from the Sens.

That's not at all how he explained Dubas' logic. Did you listen to the show?

The thought process is (paraphrasing): the goalie market is too dire right now. There are too few UFA goalies with many teams trying to buy them. For the time being they are going to start the season with Mrazek, Källgren, and Woll. Once the feeding frenzy cools out TOR will explore a trade or a UFA signing that makes sense. In no way did Kyper say that TOR will go forward all season and playoffs with Mrazek as their starter.

Mrazek traded to Chicago. Keumper well he isn't an upgrade over Campbell. He was shaky in the playoffs and the reason Avs won wasn't because of Keumper. The team in front of Kuemper really picked up the play and limited shots against. If Leafs are looking at Keumper, well it will be another disappointing year.

Based on what Dubas said we're hunting for a legit number 1 and have the flexibility to enter the trading market. This provides the following:

Kuemper
Gibson
Varlamov

Not sure who else is an option at the moment
