If Canada wins on Sunday, do you think Carey Price deserves the MVP?

Doughty
Karlsson
Price
Selanne
Weber

One of them. Forlan got the Golden Ball despite not reaching the final, so Selanne has a shot at MVP.

It most definitely is a knock on Price, but I know where your hearts at so I can dismiss your opinion.

How? He played great, but was it MVP worthy? No. I don't really think he made the difference in any of the important games. And I don't think Luongo or Smith would have either.

Regardless of who it was, my honest opinion is goaltending wasn't needed to be the difference, but Price was still great & did what was needed of him.

I know where your heart is aswell, so whats your opinion on it?

if only price had a 0.00 gaa and a 1.000 save %. it also woulda helped if he wasnt so positionally sound and flopped around to make every save

Yeah, any of them is fine by me. Selanne would make a great story even better.

Canada could have won a gold medal with Giggy, Theodore or current day Mike Vernon with how that defense played in this tournament. I'm rarely ever in awe of anything that Canada does, but that performance by the backend all tournament was record breaking.

I think it should be Selanne, personally. Kessel and Karlsson looked awful in our two games, and none of the Canadian guys really stood out. Maybe Doughty

Price wasn't mvp, no one was for Canada. But to say Luongo or Smith would have done the same is really downplaying how great he was this tournament. The guy was perfect, and great goaltending was certainly needed every game less the gmg and norway/Austria

You realize that Price had zero margin for error right? If Price's GAA was even 1.00, hell if it was even 0.75 Canada was playing for Bronze.

Carey Price is so collected and sound thats how he is. He just gives full confidence if he only had a respectable defense in montreal. He did an enormous job to control of his rebounds wich removed lot of pressure to our defensemen.

Price made like 10 game saving stops the last two games. **** off with that ****. Theres not many goalies that couldve done what he just did regardless of the defense.

Price even saying playing behind the D made it really easy when asked if this is the best hockey of his career.

Don't get me wrong, Price was great when he needed to be, he just wasn't needed to be great that often with way our team played defensively.

Doughty. I think Price had to make 1 save in the final period? He played extremely well, but he didn't have a whole lot of work to do. And that is absolutely no knock on Price, regardless of what anyone thinks. I was totally confident with him in net.

Selected as Most Valuable Player by the media in #Sochi2014 is... Teemu Selanne, congrats!

That's total ********. They just gave it to him cause he's 500 years old. Bogus.

As a Canuck fan, the Luongo thing is moronic. He isn't as good as Price is anymore even outside of these games. Coaches shouldn't make decisions based on what is owed to an athlete, even if it's just on a hunch, it should be on who they have more confidence in moving forward.

Mike Smith could have won behind that d.

Not that Price didn't make some key saves for Canada. He played great, but it's hard to say he was the key piece behind that d.
