The short answer is **** no.
If an MVP is named from Canada its Weber just ahead of Doughty.
The Canadian defensive game has been pretty awesome. I'd throw a bone to Crosby who despite not giving as much support on offense as some expected he has played great defensively.

I think you have this pretty much right.
The Canadian team defense (not just the defenseman) has been amazing and they aren't giving up many chances. I would even suggest that a lot of people were board watching the SF game against the US because Team Canada played amazing D.
If people can just admit Luongo could get the job done behind this amazing defense I'll stop talking about him.. He got the job done with worse defense in front of him ffs.

Yeah a lot of focus and rightly so has been on the dmen as they have been playing great D plus leading the scoring.
But the team D game has been great. The transition against the US was awesome.
Very few solid chance for the US against Canada and luckily they missed on a few.
Of the last 2 games the Latvian tender and Quick have "outplayed" Price despite losing its been that one sided.
Here are 3 examples of shots Price has faced all tournament that did not result in goals

And the infamous missed squeeze at 1:43:00. The goal itself was not his fault but he should have caught that puck and stopped the play.
Luongo was good enough to win in 2010, but not nearly as good as Price has been this year.
The point is moot, so honestly, just give up already. TC made the correct choice.

Rask gave up more goals against Austria than Price gave up all tournament. So no, it was Price.

Honestly, this team didn't really have a MVP. Everyone was so incredible and so in-tune that it was a total team effort.

When you get back to back shutouts in the semifinal and final, you're MVP. Nothing else is relevant.
He didn't have to steal any games. He did his job, no complaints, but he wasn't the reason we won.
Rask had 1 bad game, after that he was the best goalie in the tournament. Price had the best Olympic defense of all time in front of him. Rask had rookies and juniors.
Rask had one bad game, Price was as close to perfect for an entire tournament. Price was the best goalie this tournament.
Great tournament Price! He shoud be in the conversation but I think Doughty deserves it more. Price is easily the best Canadian goalie for me.

Price had 0 bad games. Rask also gave up a soft goal to lose to Canada, and then missed his team's most important game. Price simply had one of the best Olympics any goaltender has ever had.
I give Canada's MVP to Doughty. Price was great, but that was about as dominant of a team performance that there's ever been.

Price was great all tourney. Can't have more confidence in a goalie then you can have in him. He makes everything look casual in net. He's a big gamer for sure

Price should give his medal to rask and tell Luongo he's sorry for undeservingly stealing his spot.
