Florida just replaced their coach and Tampas coach has a few rings. Their jobs are probably safe for a bit.

If the Leafs have decided to limit chances and play a more possession/ cycle game instead of a track meet style and still win more than they lose using a 4th string goalie then they will be fine

This is very hard to speculate on since the Leafs typically have gotten eliminated in very low scoring games the past few years. Right now they feel like a middle of the road team with less game breaking ability than in the past.

I agree. I am in the camp that believes they need another goal scorer more than anything. Losing 2-1 in the last two Game 7's plus not having anyone put in the puck while dominating OT in the past 2 game 6's has been incredibly frustrating

Doesnt TB have multiple injuries on defence? Plus TB has won cups with the current coach.

Florida has a brand new coach! They cleaned house personnel wise this past offseason.

I know everyone wants more but from the outside looking in, collecting 7 out of 14 points with your 4th string goalie would normally be looked upon as a win.

JT looks great, Matthews looks human, Nylander's been solid so far.

I'd move Marner for a different style of player and different personality.

I would love to see the Leafs grab someone to play with Matthews, have Marner play with JT, and let Nylander be the guy on the 3rd line.

I think Willy is far more dangerous when he doesn't defer to JT or Matthews and tries to create for himself.

I’m not asking for track meets, but when you are struggling to even score 3 goals a game, and it takes one of the worst defensive teams to do so that’s a problem

And this is probably a minority opinion but, we’ve only lost one series total because of defence in the past 5 years, Boston 2018, the rest was offence and goaltending, mainly offence

It's the Leafs management. They never react quick enough. There are around 20 of us that have been posting here and basically called everything that would happen years in advance. Not fortune tellers, people that see the forest for the Leafs.

Basically they all follow the time honored tradition of falling on their sword. Usually causing irreparable damage to our cap or saddling us with bad contracts along the way. They almost always never address the net and almost always trade away good contracts for bad. Often they neglect shortcoming on D as well.

Tired of pointing this out. Don't think you need it pointed out to Menzinger.

The Leafs' front office is so lousy with Dubas acolytes that firing him mid-season probably won't bring in the desired culture change over night. The interim GM would likely be an internal re-assignment. I don't know, maybe Mike Penny?

They aren't going to fire Keefe because for as midcore as they have been, as of today they are 2nd in the division, 7th in the entire NHL just 1 point back of LA for 4th in the entire NHL.

What does this mean? It's very simple.

It means as bad as they have been and let's be honest It's mostly goaltending.

It's not falling apart and until it does Keefe is safe weither we like it or not

Marner is slacking man. I thought Keefe would be gone by now after Marner cancelled him. Marner needs to see this through.

Matthews permanently put Holl on the trade block. Dubas is showing mad disrespect not answering Marners call.
