Well, get to work then. You've got 300 some odd pages to work through if you want that Christmas bonus.I am now able to like posts again
Yeah, what @Tryamw said.So like, what's the thing to look for, what denotes a newer processor. I just don't speak the computer language well enough to know what to look for.
I basically just thought, "Hey my work laptop works great and is really fast," then looked at the specs for that which is 2.80 ghz, 8 gb ram. It has a solid-state hard drive though.
It would be nice to be able to stream HD video now and again.
midnightGood
I talked to a person today who actually thinks that climate change is a hoax and that if we just let all the factories pump all the stuff into the air, then it would help the trees grow better and faster and help the planet because trees eat CO2, see.
**** it, let the monkeys take over, they couldn't do any worse at this point
Yeah, what @Tryamw said.
As well, SSD is huge for programs to load and stuff, but it will shoot up the price by a lot, I think in your case HDD would be fine, if you don't want to spend a lot of money.
I mean...yes, I agree very much. But if you can't see self-indulgent materialism in that study, then you need to study.
That sounds like a great deal you got there, especially for what you will use it!I followed this advice as well as that of @Tryamw and ordered one that had a 4th (or maybe 5th?) gen Intel I5, 8 gb ram, two hard drives totalling 750 gb and new Windows 10 install for $150, which seems like kind of a steal. I'll probably end up getting a SSD down the road just to run the OS. I keep all my music/movies on a couple of external drives already, so the 750 gb of hard drives is super-duper overkill but I guess it won't hurt to have the extra space.
Until 30th February 2019How long till @Breakdowns passed me?
Is a pure SSD a winner choice for OS though? You'll be using some hexpensive storage space for keeping the zillion printer and other OS crap drivers you'll never ever use.I followed this advice as well as that of @Tryamw and ordered one that had a 4th (or maybe 5th?) gen Intel I5, 8 gb ram, two hard drives totalling 750 gb and new Windows 10 install for $150, which seems like kind of a steal. You had the right impression. I think @Lempo suggested that it's not worth it if you don't run anything on your machine, it's just way too pricey.I don't know, I have all you fine folks to tell me these things now. I was under the impression the whole works would run faster if Windows was installed on an SSD as compared to an HDD but maybe that's not the case. Like I said, I'm a moron when it comes to this stuff.
