Post-Game Talk: I don't have a creative title

Need another center, Mika is being overplayed and it's affecting a lot of his game imo. Kreider is coasting again, Brodz is lost, Goodrow is lost and Lindgren looks injured. Glaring hole on rw as well.

Fair, but the team will look a lot different with Henrique or Wennberg at 3C and another RW playing with Kreider and Mika.

Brodzinski and Cuylle are looking like AHLers again now that Kakko is on the first line.
Brodzinski is an AHLer. The only reason he is here is because of the Chytil injury and Bonino was dreadful. This team desperately needs an upgrade at 3C and yes it will make a difference.

I think they’re going to trade Kakko, Jones and Goodrow at the deadline. And the first round pick is going to be in play no matter what they’re saying. My guess? They bring back Vatrano, Henrique, Tarasenko and a defensive depth d man.

considering what happened in Carolina today that is a point gained on the road in Canada on a Saturday night.

Not upgrading the defense will be why we don’t win a Cup this year. Mark my words and we’re going to turn around and resign lindgren on top of it with some solid solid top 4 LD on the free agent market available that would allow us to move miller up. Will set us back big time.

watching Mika rip that shot just pisses you off. Jesus he has the tools still. Just shoot the f***ing puck man.

Laf is a star.

You have to get a 3C. Goodrow getting to many important mins. Brodzinski is terrible. He’s killing Cuylle. I’m fine trading kakko just do it. Now
Agree with everything. Drury’s priority should be 1LD that can be resigned or already comes with term and for Laviolette it’s time to put Schneider with Miller. Lindgren - Trouba as a 3rd pair and most PK is fine.

Re the bolded paragraph - if you’re correct re playoff scenario then it’s likely there will be changes in offseason when any and all of Lindgren, Trouba and Kreider could be moved. Goodrow and Kakko too. Teams success in the playoff will dictate offseason moves but I want him to force some of it (on defense) now - writing is on the wall and upcoming playoffs can be helped without sacrificing the future..

If we're moving a 1st pick, kakko and Goodrow somewhere i hope its in a package for a signed Guentzel because that's the only thing that makes sense for the future.

Vegas is missing their 2 best players, so they sort of have an excuse.
Yes, and Boston sucks.

It's to way less of an extent as the Rangers, but Boston relies on having .930 goaltending all the time.

That's why they've been to the playoffs 2,936 years in a row and have one Cup.

Are they typically a bad team? No, but they're never one of the top teams in the aspects of the game that matter. Goaltending is unreliable in the playoffs. I literally don't care how much you control quality.

Boston has definitely overachieved this season. They're relying on scrubs like Zacha JVR and Heinen for their scoring outside of Pasta. Marchand is still good but not the player he used to be.

Starting to agree with this. When Brodz played the simple game with Cuylle/Kakko he didn't look bad but lately looks lost. Going into the playoffs a 3C should be priority one. Maybe we can get lucky and grab a RW like Zucker or Duclair to play with CK/Mika. At this point I don't think Jagr in his prime would help that line.

I explained that Nashville game already and you stuck your fingers in your ears.

Also it's one game.

Also the "deserve to win" thing is one metric from one site.

I don't know, maybe watch the games?

Your conclusion is dishonest. Tell me you're just ok with them having a bad stretch because they stole wins. At least it's the truth.

Ok so now you admit you just react to singular scoring events and discard the rest. Now we're getting somewhere.
The meter is trash and it's not just because of 1 game. It's often off base. I reiterate. You cannot go 11-1-1 playing poorly every game. I'm not saying every game has been good either but it's not as bad as you make it seem.

Apparently, you can. They just did it.

Just admit you don't care what happens as long as they win and stop trolling people for pointing out negative aspects of the performance in wins.

Yeah. Luck, randomness, general mediocrity due to the hard cap.

Somehow the Rangers are lucky and randomly winning now three years and going on 220 regular season games. Honestly, as much as this new Reijo poster seems to be Joe Micheletti your posts are obnoxious in the other direction.

I'm not the one being annoying here. The Positivity Gestapo is so exhausting recently.

You can't even talk about the team playing poorly without "nuh uh!!!!!!"

It's not even like "well, we're getting points and hopefully they'll snap out of it." It's "NO THEY'RE NOT YOUR A IDIOT!!!!"

They're playing like shit. Over the 10 wins out of 12, and a few games before that, they're objectively playing like shit. It's not just ""fancy stats." Like, look at it. It's the eye test. They haven't been good in weeks.

If you want to make the case that sustained regular season success over a generation with poor underlying numbers is sustainable because the wins say it's sustainable, that's a separate discussion.

Over the last 12 games, they've been unwatchable. That they've won 10 of those game is just the way the dice landed. Sorry, it's not that crazy of a notion.

If you don't think they've been playing like shit since they came back from the ABS, you're lying. It's not a disagreement, it's lying.

If you want to take the stance -and people have- that you literally don't care if they play bad as long as they win, again, that's different. Don't tell me they didn't play bad just because they won or got a point or whatever. You're lying to people including yourself.

This is a lot to parse here, idk how to respond to it. But When you're winning 10 games in a row and at the top of the standings, I understand why people might be ticked off about complaints of play.

And to me the large majority of your posts come off as 'sky is falling', year in year out.

Maybe I just don't take the game and team as serious, idk.

But we also have posters in here claiming the Rangers 'profile' worse than the blackahwks and sharks which are lies.

Where are they getting a 1LD? It's been reported Hanafin only wants to go to a few teams and the Rangers aren't one of them. That's something for the off season possibly.

Anytime you tie the game out like that you just appreciate the resiliency and the effort.

That's what matters come playoff time. Great job
That’s what I’m taking from this game too. Lost a hard fought game that the Rangers had a good chance of winning, happens. Gained a point (in general and on Canes). Both Schneider and Miller looked good on D. Lafreniere tied his points total from last season and with a bit more luck could have been closing on 50. Shesterkin looked in form once again.

Once again you're just fancy @EdJovanovski. Winning is THE point of a sports competition. Go watch a movie if all you care about is aesthetics.
