Maybe we could try Lafreniere with Kreider and Zibanejad. Earlier in the year, I was worried that we would mess with the steps he was taking, by moving him away from Panarin and Trocheck. I don't think that's the case anymore; he's our second best forward, and he's ready to be The Guy on a line.

Exactly . This is it. Another underrated stat that’s ignored a little, they’ve played 5 more road games then home. That’s going to be major.

The Rangers had quite a few good chances but Toronto had way more chances.

Toronto is a good offensive team, but the amount of chances they had was abnormal for any team in any game.

Nobody watching that game in good faith would come up with a different conclusion.

The world wouldn't end if just once you said "well that sucked, stole a point" and moved on instead of trying to convince people they didn't see what they just saw.

Cause I don’t think it sucked. If they tied us at the end like we did and we lost, then I would have said it sucked. This was a road game vs. a talented team. I think plenty of games I’m not thrilled. The Columbus loss sucked. The win the next game they played crappy. San Jose loss on road sucked. Chicago win in ot on road they played terrible. I just don’t know how someone can root for a 40-17 team and be upset.

They're playing like shit. Over the 10 wins out of 12, and a few games before that, they're objectively playing like shit. It's not just ""fancy stats." Like, look at it. It's the eye test. They haven't been good in weeks.

If you want to make the case that sustained regular season success over a generation with poor underlying numbers is sustainable because the wins say it's sustainable, that's a separate discussion.

Over the last 12 games, they've been unwatchable. That they've won 10 of those game is just the way the dice landed. Sorry, it's not that crazy of a notion.

If you don't think they've been playing like shit since they came back from the ABS, you're lying. It's not a disagreement, it's lying.

If you want to take the stance -and people have- that you literally don't care if they play bad as long as they win, again, that's different. Don't tell me they didn't play bad just because they won or got a point or whatever. You're lying to people including yourself.

Last 13 games they are 11-1-1. You don't have a record like that and play poorly every game. It's just not possible. Also, the "deserve to win" meter is pure trash. I stopped putting any credence into it since last year when it had Nashville deserving to win when the Rangers demolished them and were winning 7-0 after 2 periods. It's faulty.

A lot people genuinely do not care how they play as long as they get points in the standings.

I want this team to win a cup, they way they play makes that highly unlikely.

People were defending Gallant because he had such and such amount of points in this first 2 seasons as coach which was better than any other coach in NYR history. We see what good that did us in the playoffs.

Fair, but the team will look a lot different with Henrique or Wennberg at 3C and another RW playing with Kreider and Mika.

Brodzinski and Cuylle are looking like AHLers again now that Kakko is on the first line.

While I absolutely agree with that, that’s what the trade deadline is for. Like I said above, I don’t feel they’re a top five team in the league. I think they’re good but sure as of right now do I take them over Florida? Dallas? Colorado? Vegas? Probably Boston? I do not.
