I still would keep Mika. I can't help but like him. The others can go. In order of importance for jettison: Lindgren. Goodrow (because easier to bury a forward).....Trouba. Trouba could turn it around.

Also, Lav can coach this Ranger team to a series win against Toronto, their defense is still crap. Samsonov was awesome tonight and Igor was pretty good too.

Rangers killed themselves by failing to clear all night. That's something you can fix without changing personnel. Still, need an upgrade to Lindgren and Goodrow
 
So much garbage on this team

-Goodrow
-Trouba
-Lindgren
-Zib and Kreider (at least at 5 v 5)

Only good thing about this game is Laf having three points. Have him improve his shot next year and replace Mika on the PP with him

How are Trouba and Lindgren liabilities, they played like animals all game.

do you do anything besides write long ass posts simping for shitty players? First you were defending Trouba and now its Zibanacrap.

Really entertaining game. I know the boys didn't play awesome tonight but Toronto scored 2 butt cheek goals. They hit a crossbar in the shootout and it went in. We hit a post in the shootout and it didn't. Refs were awful and inconsistent all game. Called every shit and fart in the 1st and put the whistles away in the 3rd. Not super worried about the result.

What I am worried about is the butt buddies. Mika and Kreider are a PROBLEM right now. I remember back in December when I kept saying they suck 5 on 5 and everyone told me I was "being too negative, can't you just enjoy the W"

No. They sucked then and they continue to suck. Mika sucks because his head is elsewhere right now. Kreider sucks because he doesn't give a f*** and puts forth 60% effort. Not sure which one is worse.

Team won't go anywhere with them performing like shit. Can't have that much in dead cap space, simple as that. Mika is absolutely horrendous in all facets of the game right now. What was his FO%?
 
Just accept it at this point, the make up of this NY market roster is always going to have laziness and entitlement that leads to horrific 5v5 metrics. Every year is another scratch off ticket in the playoffs. You never know.

I won’t accept it when I saw them go to the Stanley cup in a year they were one of the best teams in the league 5v5

Zib is a big time player. He’s there best two way forward. He needs to score more, no denying that but he does a lot of things well. Do you realize that if Laviolette had to pick 10 players to play tomorrow, Trouba would be one of them. You realize that, right? He plays against the other teams best players, he hits everything in site and he’s a plus player.

I don't think any objective person who understands the game can in good faith say the rangers are #1. We all watch a lot of hockey, FLA, COL, DAL, JETS, probably Vegas, Van, Bos and maybe maybe Toronto are a cut above.

Mika having not scored a 5v5 goal since before Christmas is inexcusable. I know he does a lot on other areas of the game but, good lord, you’re making 8.5m as the 1C on a cup contender, you need to produce.

We better hope whoever they bring in for that spot hits it off with Mika because this team could do literally everything right in the playoffs but if their 1C doesn’t produce they won’t win. Simple as that.

two way forward? he is a PP and 3 on 3 merchant. he has 8 EV goals. and his defense isn't selke level. Bergeron and Barkov are two way forwards not Mika.

Who cares about hits? Just means when Trouba is on the ice we generally don't have the puck.
