I would love to know where 2K Sports love affair with Jimmer Fredette came from. Seriosuly, dude is so bad he can't even get playing time on Sacramento. He's the Tim Tebow of the NBA.

Who hit into that double play just now? I went to the bathroom?

Hint: M Russell grounded into double play, third to first, C Moran out at third.

Today was a terrible day in sports. An absolutely shameful EMBARRASSMENT by the Heels, the Heat lose and end my W10 in Streak for the Cash, and I bowl like garbage for two games and lose for the first time in months. I need to forget this day ever happened. :(

So random question, but might any Canes HFBoarders be interested in a cat? We're getting ready to closet he sale of my mother's house and we're stumped as to what to do with her 3 cats. We'd take them in but we're at our apartment complex's two pet limit with our dog and cat. All are spayed or neutered. Here's the rundown on each:

Misty - 15 or 16 year old female seal point Siamese. Primarily indoor but likes to go out every now and again to sun herself and terrorize lizards.

Baby - 12 year old female calico (white, black, and grey coat) - Primarily outdoor, although she occasionally enjoys being indoors too.

India - 10 year old male long haired black cat. He's also primarily indoor but likes to go out from time to time as well. One of the sweetest cats in the world - loves to nap with you or on you and will wake you up by tapping your face with his paw.

Both Baby and India are in good health while Misty is getting older and has taken Mom's death much harder than the other two cats. If anybody can take in any of these, please let us know - I'd much rather one of y'all wound up with them (especially India) than to put them in a shelter or, as my brother was planning on doing them, taking them to a vet to be put down.

Hold that thought, my wife is something of a cat relocation expert. I'll show this to her and see what she says.

Thanks, man. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. We thought we had found a home for India with the mother of one of Justhereforthefights' friends, but it fell through.

Likewise, sorry to all if I've been less active/around/annoying than usual - we've been going to Columbia each of the past weekends to box stuff up and stick it in a PODS unit to get shipped up here while we househunt. No fun. Although if you want fun...apparently we lived less than two miles from Raleigh's very own version of South Beach..

Well, ****. I don't like how this game is going. Jernigan probably should have been taken out earlier than he was.

I just read the story about the party mansion. I like how the neighbor was "freaking out over 20 year old hot chicks in bikinis". Please dude, you know you were enjoying it.

So...I guess we'll all have to suffer through ANOTHER UNC-NC State game. I know we're all going to be upset by that one.:sarcasm:

How anybody can believe that league is "clean" in regards to officials tampering with the outcome of games to benefit the league is out of their minds. That obvious blown foul call on Allen turned the entire game. I am not sure if there has ever been a sport more obviously fixed and less universally recognized. It's worse than lower tier European football.

The best part about the NBA season is when it's over. I don't know why so many people follow it. Probably because there's like 8 players and it's easy to do, but that's just laziness.

Heat's got this one in the bag. Refs will make sure of it in game 7. NBA needs to pump up the Big 3 for another offseason. Not one, not two, not three...

Well, if one of the Spurs get the rebound late in the 4th before Allen's three, they're NBA Champions and the game isn't 'fixed'.

Yeah I'm sort of with you on this. While I agree that officiating seems to be more of an issue in the NBA than in other leagues, Allen doesn't make that clutch 3 and the Spurs are partying right now.

I'm with WTF on this one. Honestly, I don't think it's possible for me to care less about the NBA, aside from the Bobcats screwing up everything they possibly can.

Seems like every time we blame the refs on these boards it's people saying "we should win despite the bad calls." Now it's entirely on the NBA if the Heat win the championship?

Exactly. While there were some questionable calls both ways, the Spurs didn't lose because of the officiating (nor would have the Heat). The Spurs lost because they shot 50% from the FT line and allowed the Heat to get two offensive boards in the last minute.

Heat did get a few "beneficial" calls, but the Spurs shot themselves in the foot with all the missed free throws. That said, with 10 seconds left, why didn't anyone foul Bosh after he rebounded that miss? Don't even let 'em shoot a three.
