Yeah, not that a comeback was likely or anything, but what in the world was Manu doing on those last two possessions?

I don't have an issue with the three he jacked up when they were down by six. But the turnover the possession before was horrific. He also had two pretty bad ones earlier in the 4th.

You expect turnovers from the likes of Green, Leonard, Neal and co., but not Manu.

Meh, I thought the three was stupid as well. Seemed like he could've taken a second or two more and found a better shot to jack up.

The weird thing, is if Mario Chalmers misses his half court heave at the end of the third, instead of 90-88 Heat, it's 88-87 Spurs.

When he hit that I knew it'd be the difference lol

Not trying to reignite any State vs. Carolina arguments, but it's probably a good idea to keep gloating to a minimum. While I'm sure your posting that picture is all in good fun, and I don't want to come off as being offended because I'm not, I do find it funny comparing your post to the responses from State fans (and other Carolina fans), especially after last Sunday. Just an observation, you know with State not being a rival and all

Carolinas Identity, how bad is that flooding? I've got lots of friends who are in Calgary this week, and they're posting pictures on FB that are pretty unbelievable.

Entire downtown is shut down and evacuated, more rain in the forecast to, tho hopefully no down pours, just showers. But by Thursday it's supposed to be in the 80s and sunny. Fortunately I live on high ground, tho I have a few friends who had to relocate.

The water level is apparently up to row 10 at the Saddledome and the dressing rooms completely under water.

Looking for Fantasy Football opinions y'all. (It's that time of year again :partytime:)

Anyway, long story short, my big money keeper league is set up with a seven round draft. Where players are picked, gives them that number (ie, a player drafted in the 2nd round is a 2). FWIW, we pick actual defensive players, not a team's defense.

Anyway, I can protect up to 8 players. A 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and a Franchise. Pretty straight forward stuff. Now, where I'm looking for opinions is on this, my team currently has three 1's on it and I can only protect two, (my 1 and my Franchise). Said players are Larry Fitzgerald, Eli Manning and Trent Richardson. Richardson is a no brainer but I can't decide which of the other two to let go. Eli is streaky and can put up huge points but also goes through *LOOOONG* bouts of being useless and Fitzgerald is amazing but up until this season had no one to throw him the ball. In an interesting caveat, I picked up Carson Palmer (Fitzgerald's new QB) as an undrafted free agent last season. If I cut Eli, that means Palmer is my starter unless I overpay for a meh QB (all the good ones are obviously protected) but if I cut Fitzgerald, that leaves me with only three receivers: Victor Cruz, Cecil Shorts and Dwayne Bowe at WR with no bench (I play 3 WR and 1 TE, not 2 and 2). One other option is to cut Eli and then try to redraft him in a lower round but then, I run the risk of losing him.

What would you guys do in this situation. As of right now, I'm leaning towards keeping Larry and cutting Eli, but not 100% sure yet. Palmer is an Okay Fantasy Player even though he'll never win anything in real life

Pretty sure I broke a bone in my foot, or at the least it's a pretty bad lig. pull :(. I started walking at work to get some water and felt/heard a snap in my foot in the process. Considerable pain in the foot since then, mostly when trying to walk, but it improves when resting it, there's no swelling that would typically indicate a break, and it's somewhat inconsistent as there are times when I'll walk on it where it will be relatively fine. Going in to the docs tomorrow if this isn't feeling any better.

While I don't have good experience with keeper leagues, I would suggest letting go of Eli, and trying to get a better qb. I don't think there will be much difference between Eli and Palmer next season anyway, and Fitzgerald should improve with at least a semi-competent qb now in AZ.

last i heard it was up to row 14 or pretty much the entire lower bowl. the clock which had been lowered is apparently a write-off. lots of work to do before the fall.

but the saddledome is really one of the lesser concerns. only three deaths reported so far but three too many for those people and their families.

Getting old, man, getting old. Every day when I get up something new is sore.

Dave better get into some kind of shape and soon too. I'm still planning on spending a week or so in Raleigh next season (depending on schedule, I'd like to see at least three games) and him and I still have a "Who's the bigger drunk" contest to take part in
