Yeah need to be able to work out on this, in both the gym and the 12oz curl form. That **** is happening, oh it's happening.

I look forward to meeting you out on the field of battle.

nah, better food and beer selection here:
Carolina BBQ nachos for the MF win!

I'd assume a drunk-off would be better suited to your home, Dave. To avoid public embarrassment, and to have a place to crash and ride out the following morning.

well yes, depending on how CI feels about homebrew (I'm assuming that one is a big "bring it on")

How are your brews coming along? Found any good techniques/recipes that you're fond of yet?

EDIT: Although I suppose that if you're planning a drunk-off, "fond of" isn't quite the right phrase.

My Belgian Tripel got extremely good reviews, as has my Rye IPA using New Zealand hops.

A couple batches fermenting right now, should be bottling one on tuesday if I have the energy after this weekend and monday. Crazy hours of work for this go-live here at Duke Med.

Hey, money is money, right?

Glad to hear that your brews are going well. Although I suppose you won't want to waste too much of the quality ones after the initial phase of the drunk-off. You'd better keep Trollinen's grubby hands off of them once you get past the point of drinking for taste.

haha, yeah, I'll probably have some stuff brewed up for this. I'll save a few bottles for taste testing but I'll do something real easy to drink like a Kolsch for the drunk off. Though I can drink the hell out of that Rye IPA and it's somewhere around 6.5-7% ABV.

I'm good with pretty much anything. My dad makes some killer home brews so that's actually something I'd look forward to and discussing technique and such not.

There're one or two kinds of hard liquor I'm not fond of and I don't like mixing wine and beer. Other than that I'm pretty easy and as far as I know I've never been black out drunk, so I could still stumble to my hotel

We could make a GDT and everything, have a right proper event

You scare me good sir haha

So, it's 5:30 in the morning and I'm slugging my way through Mega Man II and you know what? I'd put this sound track up against any fully orchestrated sound track from any crazy next gen console and expect it to come out on top. The NES has some rocking tunes.

Oh god, yes, some of the Mega Man soundtracks were absolutely glorious. Probably the best of the old gen consoles. More rock oriented then the Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy soundtracks, but all 3 definitely hold up well to the age test. Can't say I can think of too many modern games whos soundtracks will age quite as well, though Mass Effect is probably way up on the list of those with that potential.

Also credit to the Mario invincibility theme for holding up as Coldplay.

Dave better get into some kind of shape and soon too. I'm still planning on spending a week or so in Raleigh next season (depending on schedule, I'd like to see at least three games) and him and I still have a "Who's the bigger drunk" contest to take part in

I still maintain that an such contest needs to include thinkingcake and justhereforthefights. Especially after the insane amount of beer the two of them purchased in Columbia this weekend. Well that and thinkingcake's partial brewery ownership.

This filibuster in the Texas state Senate has over 163,000 live views right now. Anybody else paying attention to this?

Commence panicking - Klausie's Pizza has closed effective immediately while they work on a brick and mortar location. Looks like he'll be doing a lunch-only pop-up out of Brewmaster's in downtown Raleigh.

honestly not that happy about that. I love Klausie's Pizza, but just as much due to the fact that they're willing to go to quite a few locations on a regular basis. The first and fifth Saturday pizza and beer at Fullsteam has been a mainstay for the past few months. I think they'll end up doing well as a brick and mortar shop, as long as they get a good location. But in the meantime, ****, I need my pizza this Saturday.

The woman stood for 11 hours. I can't imagine doing that and having to constantly talk.
