Why would anyone want to watch that game?
How is sending overrated junior high teams like Notre Dame and Ohio State to get slaughtered by far superior SEC teams any better (I'll admit in a way it's better because I enjoy watching those two schools lose)? It's not like the Alabama-LSU title game was any more of a snoozer than Alabama-Notre Dame or Florida-Ohio State. More often than not, the title game is either mediocre (Texas-Alabama, Florida-Oklahoma), a letdown that didn't live up to expectations (Auburn-Oregon - Auburn won a close one, but most of the game was pretty snooze inducing considering what the game was billed to be), or just a beatdown altogether (the aforementioned games, plus So Cal vs. Oklahoma). Title games like So Cal-Texas are rare.

Basically why watch the title game at all if history is any indication. There's like between a 1/5 and 1/10 chance the game will actually be good.

I'd be nervous about what Clowney would do to McCarron in it tho haha. Outside of Cyrus, our entire O-Line went pro and he wasn't even a starter last year outside of spot duty.

When was the last time preseason was indicative of anything during the regular season? Obviously that has to go both ways, and we must temper our expectations about strong preseason performances as well. We're not rolling out our full offensive playbook, so it's not crazy to think we'll look a lot better come week one. Especially if we can sign Travelle Wharton or grab a couple OL during final cuts like Dwan Edwards last season. I don't think the secondary is as bad as advertised, but the O-line needs work. Should be interesting to see how we play week 1, Seattle will be a good test.

Wish granted.

Clowney would do to McCarron what Thicke did to Miley last night.

And seriously that would be an awesome national title game. Not that I'm biased or anything.

Then it's agreed, I'm not biased or anything either....

:sarcasm:

Besides, outside of your game at Georgia in week 3 (I think) you got a pretty clear run to the SEC Title Game.

I have a feeling we lose at least one of those 3 consecutive road games during the middle of the season. That's a pretty tough stretch. Not really worried about Vandy since we play them at home.

Geez first game and last 4 at home. I know schedules can be screwy but I don't think I've seen anything like that.

There's a slight possibility I might be in Columbia for the Clemson game, that would be fun even though I don't give a **** about either team.

If you go, choose the team you pull for wisely.;)

Too bad you guys have a bye week while I'm in Seattle. Wouldda been fun to watch. Oh well, I'll probably still be recovering from the epicness of watching the Washington Huskies beat the Idaho State Bengals by 60.

Maybe I'll get lucky and find myself a cute Huskies co-ed :naughty:

So - advice sought y'all. Justhereforthefights and I have just purchased our first house and we're looking to maybe cut the cord. How have you cable cutters dealt with live sports? It'd be awesome if I could just get NHL Center Ice and watch Canes games, for instance, but since that's not a possibility...Streaming over the web is also something I'd rather avoid (not due to the illegality...I'd rather listen to John & Tripp, than, say, Edwards)

No jokes, I swear between the Discovery Channel and Spike TV, there has to be at least seven or eight "Finding Big Foot" shows on every day.

Maybe it's time I raid the ole checking account, buy a house in Columbia, SC and pitch a "Finding Lizard Man" show to them.

Considering some of the other things on tv these days, I'm sure they'd eat it up :D

Discovery Channel would be all over the Lizard Man.

Yeah, all you'd need do is come up with a 15-20 second fake video clip that at least looks almost real and treat it like it is. Then a couple of actors to pretend to be scientists who can go on and on forever making stuff up. At least a 2-3 hour special out of that. Get a couple of other people to go out on hunts and you have a series. Make them some backwoods rednecks and you have a major national hit for several seasons.

If only I could put a :sarcasm: after that...

I think we could go more legit than that (maybe) :)

History Channel in Canada did a show on the Lizard Man (With William Shatner as host) and had on several experts and eye witnesses. They even got the Sherriff of Lee County at the time of the original sightings to come on.

I could do that much at least :)
