Oddly enough driving through WV (but not on 81, usually 77 to 19), is one of my favorite drives since it tends to be quite relaxing. f*** the speed traps in VA and Summersville though. And also f*** the turnpike, that i do hate.
WV is a beautiful state so from a purely aesthetic point of view it's an enjoyable drive. But good lord it's just a long drive. And that f***ing turnpike is a nightmare, especially on high-traffic days.
On 81, I’m only in WV for a very short time so it’s not so bad. Just a lot of trucks and always construction in WV on 81.
I don't think I've ever had to take 81. It's 77 to 64 to 35.

Seriously though, I love movies surrounding dreams, or where you're unsure of the reality. Especially David Lynch stuff -- Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway. Just watched Eyes Wide Shut the other day, great film. Inception, Shutter Island, etc.
i cannot recommend "a scanner darkly" enough. based on a philip k dick novel, and it is probably the closest any movie has got to capturing the 'feel' of one of his novels.

movies aside, if you're a reader and you like questioning reality, you'll love dick!

Love his books. Have you read "Flow my tears, the Policeman said"? Hidden gem.

Understand, I've done that drive a couple times this year. It's not a usual route for me though.

We used to drive from Raleigh to Cleveland most summers in the 50s and early 60s. I remember the beauty and coolness of the windy roads in WV. My dad hated it. Other than a short bit of the turnpike it was not condusive to semi-passive driving especially with asshole kids raising hell in the backseat.

There are times when that junior high school sense of humor just won't stay suppressed!
I was in college, probably junior year. I took some class about animals, don’t remember what. But the prof kept talking about dogs liking to chase balls. And the entire class full of I’m going to say early 20 somethings giggled at the word “balls” every single time.

Eligible for the third shot. Got appointment tomorrow forenoon (such a nice word, I wonder why you English speaking dinguses use it so little). Want to get it as soon as possible, because I will be getting the flu shot as well for the first time. I wasn't getting those on account of it working based on the "forecast" of what strain is going to be the big dog, but now I am expected to be with patients in about three months, so I might as well go for all the possible support I can get.

We prefer to utilize only the dumbest and easiest words to explain our meaning. It helps make us look intelligent. Yes, quite.

Seriously though, forenoon sounds cool once but we have enough issues with words that look/ sound like another. Morning works just fine, ya dig.

“funny story” about shots. Went to the large chain pharmacy and asked for my Covid vaccine. Get through the process and get my paperwork. Look at the manufacturer and realized that they had given me the flu shot. Somehow the cashier thought I said flu. I don’t think flu and covid sound alike, even through a mask. But hey, I got both in one day cuz I still needed the covid. Did feel a little bad the day after then a little whoozy the third day after but good now.
Also really glad the sniffy the flu vaccine up your nose thing didn’t last long. That was more uncomfortable than the shot

I still consider English an inferior language because it ditched the use of "thou".

I appreciate there are people who are on the opposite side of fear of vaccines. Most wouldn't go for two shots on the same day.

I can imagine the nosejob is unpleasant for people who have thinner nostrils.

I’ve had more than one vaccine a bunch. The Army says you need a vaccine. Then they check their records, oh yea you need that one too. But I got that one 3 weeks ago, you gave it to me. Too bad, there isn’t a record of it. And I get 2 vaccines at once. Yay! I got 3 coming back from Afghanistan. Cuz somehow records are lost.

You and @Negan4Coach should get together and "do shots"
