The best way to improve this team is to bench one person, Keefe.
That Leafs are holding off on trading for a goalie and waiting until Woll is back and that there is no great goalie out there that makes them better basically.

Toronto doesn't have any enthusiasm for any of the available goalies in the league. They're plan is to wait for Woll to come off the injury and see how he does before pulling the trigger on another goalie.
Also Hildeby could be called during the Cali road trip to play one game.

If we're just "waiting for Woll" to return, what's the harm in giving the kid a limited run, everyone knows the deal and it gives him a taste. I don't get this ruining him, it's a stop gap.

No kidding, a really poorly informed narrative.
It's not one or two guys or even three, there's something wrong with this team. Somebody mentioned we need a 3c a top 2 D and a tender. There's a way to get all that plus a few other things, and as an extra added bonus a complete change in the teams chemistry!
Wait it out... no one available is playing better than Jones right now anyway.
