I like Woll as much as the next guy, but the guy has played 26 career games...

They likely need another guy, even with him.
And he's never been a "workhorse" at any level. It wasn't a question of if he'd get injured, just when and for how long

Coaches make a difference, teams that Trotz coached always saw an improvement in sv% and GAA, from the previous coach. Keefe gets no pass from me,
Keefe gets a pass. His teams have always been good defensively before the GM gave him bad defensive players. This is on the roster he was given. He deserves better than this team. I see though we are now at the stage where everything is the coaches fault

Nylander was doing OK with Matthews. But Marner wanted to go back with Matthews, so Keefe did what he always does.

Home ice advantage is a big disadvantage because of Keefe

he should have left Matthews-Nylander together Or heck... put the theree 11 AAV players on 3 different lines so he could roll the three lines with higher probability of offense

I think it is time to start #FireKeefe trending. We've seen already about his playoffs "acumen"

I said 5-3 Leafs... I'm going for that still lol.

Imagine making a bet on that for 5 bucks. Probably get what... 250 at that score

Wait it out... no one available is playing better than Jones right now anyway.
Well, teams don't really trade goalies when they are on form, plus it's more expensive.

But look at Blackwood, for example. he wasn't great in NJ, but now, relative to the SJ in front of him, he's doing well. This is what the pro scouts are for.

If we even manage to make the playoffs, Florida will kick this teams ass so hard they’ll need to hire a team proctologist.

I’m thinking they might actually win the division and we end up with Boston assuming we stay in 3rd

And yet we still had no success with Dubas’s great defensive roster.

There wasn't enough offense in the the playoffs... not saying it was the right team constructed... just this problem didn't start until this year.

Last time I checked Coaches have the ability to hold players accountable, regardless of how Bertuzzi or Domi they are. Hell the Leafs have 40 billion coaches, take one of them and get him to work with players on how to play without the puck, how to manage the puck... not rocket surgery ...

And yet, he takes a good defensive player out in Kampf to prove a point?

Silliness.

I agree with some of that... but knowing who didn't pick up their guy and why a guy was open is not as simple as you are making it out to be.

If the system calls for specific rotations and someone doesn't rotate, it starts breaking down there, not when you notice someone open and assume that the closest guy was supposed to be on him.
When 3 players are behind your own net and leave a guy alone in front, that isn't a system issue, that's a lack of defensive awareness. When both defensemen are in the same corner with one opponent and leave the front of the net wide open, again that's nothing to do with rotation, that's bad on ice decision making. Same as when you're playing Overtime 3-3, you head down the ice on a 3-1 and blast the puck a foot wide of the net leading to a breakaway the other way. These are bad errors and terrible situational hockey play.

Not sure why these concepts are so difficult to understand, I mean Keefe pretty much said the same thing during his post game conferences.
