best for us to trade zucc and hayes and mcquaid and whoever else. get high draft pick this year.

if we get panarin this thing fast tracks itself but if not, sign a few vets to guide some youngsters (hopefully zucc), and continue along the path another year or two. the long road will get us there too, althought the prospect of panarin coming to NY excites me and provides optimism that we can be contenders again before hank retires.

then again, i havent even mentioned the defense, the biggest problem. progression from deangelo, a veteran to eat minutes and let skjei be a #2 LHD and develop. a FULL summer of recovery and an injury free season might let shattenkirk get back to his form, and part of if could fix itself.

still have prospects to wait on before even being close to an elite D corps again, but only time will tellfor the possibilities

I meant aiming for the playoffs is not realistic and it’s detrimental long term.

sorry to rant ... lol ... but this wasnt even to mention progression from chytil and (possible) buch. future looks bright now, and its only going to look brighter this offseason @ draft and possibly @FA

ADA is an incredibly skilled and gifted offensive player.

Take everything else off the table and there’s no getting around that.

Definitely. He sees lanes on the ice that only elite guys do, and it always seems that he's just an extended opportunity away from learning how to dominate.

I know at the start of the season, Quinn referenced his practice habits as reason for scratching him; and I'm sure there have been other similar reasons that coaches have had throughout his career for not giving him as much responsibility as it looks like he can handle.

Vesey blocks passes like a beast on the PK. Legit. He is as good as Grabner used to be at it, he just isn't as dangerous after he does get his stick on it.
