Didn’t watch the game as I was traveling but seen people complaining about Panarin.

Would remind everyone he (among others) are very clearly playing injured

It's not ideal they are out but the bigger problem is the nonexistence of the second line as an offensive force to help out the 1st line. And our 5v5 game is missing, we can't have our stars gliding around waiting for a PP opportunity.

Agreed. I *think* Panarin is hurt, but regardless he and Strome are doing absolutely nothing. Too many blind passes to nowhere and stickhandling at both blue lines. Copp has been great but cant do it himself.

When your second line C has 1 goal in 12 playoff games and 0 in the last 10, its near impossible to get sustained offense at 5v5, especially on the road against the best defensive team in the league.

Pretty bold words after Aho, Svech and Teräväinen just spanked us big time. Maybe Kakko should ask for a trade to the Canes and get some proper training and coaching... :D
I can kind of see KK doing well on that squad, lol.

Those stupid ass caniacs with an Igor chant, how original. That guy behind the penalty box looked like the stress squeeze rubber thing that blows up its head. What moron he was

Honestly, our system and style of play does not cater to players that can gain the zone by skating.

I mean.. how many times do we dump and chase, ON THE POWERPLAY?!

Machinehead having a fantastic babyface run here.
I have my concerns, perhaps for another time.

I just feel that they've improved a lot over the course of the year and were pretty good with their fully healthy roster, which we've had for like f***ing 4/94 games.

This is like a warm up to me. I have nothing to lose. If they make run, that's fun. When it ends, it ends.

I still think we're looking at the next 2-3 years rather than this one and I've already seen a lot of what I wanted out of this one.

I do get it. When you get to a certain point, people dream, and I'm never going to tell anybody to feel good after losing. Just don't forget to give them a little credit.

In the brain, right? Injuries don't make you become a turnover machine.

We don’t need young centers. We need good two way centers with speed. We didn’t get lucky enough to draft good young centers.
Hence why we still need them. Of course you are right about their attributes.

By the way, where did you watch? Living room? Kitchen? Bathroom?

I still haven’t been impressed by this canes team

The rangers again shoot themselves in the foot

Kreider continues to be absolutely terrible and panarin…..what the hell has happened!?

There's shooting going on alright... and not by the Rangers.

He fell in love with his Pond Hockey BFF, Ryan Strome.

Plus he’s a 5’10 170lb ego maniac who was deluding himself to begin with. He’s a primma dona who pretends he’s some kind of crazy wild card who bathed in deer blood. He’s just an ego who thinks that shit makes him some kind of eccentric Russian folk hero. How about taking a hit to make a play, wild man? Oh, all talk?

Fuuuuuuuuuuuc*.

This team just loves playing from behind. It's what they do.

Game 7, Raleigh, LET'S GO.

And can we please get Kakko off of the fourth line, I feel like every time he was out there he was open in front of the net and had zero offensive help.

Well even if we win game 6 which I'm favoring that scenario by a little bit I just don't know what we've seen since the first two periods of game 1 that would give us any confidence that it won't be more of the same in Carolina. I do wonder how the game would have unfolded if Strome's goal counted.
If that goal counted it would have been a completely different game. If they win game 6 then anything can happen in game 7 but yeah I would say that Carolina would be favored the way they have shut down things at home. We have to get there first.

Yeah, Strome has to go. I’m not 100% sure Copp is the answer there either though. And I think Chytil is a winger.
