I’ve been (relatively) patient.

I am no longer patient. Vitek Vanecek can not start a single game for this hockey team again. Ever.

He is the worst goalie I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching. Shooter tutors have better rebound control. “It’s the defenses fault!” people will point to the fact that 4th goal was tipped, but anyone who’s spent 3 minutes learning how the goalie position is even played will tell you that he was out of position and too far from his post.

He is a hockey terrorist. He needs to be removed from this franchise.

I mean he's bad but did you see what we were rolling out two years ago?

Well we are 40% there. We are running a top 3 offense in the league. So thats not bad and it doesn’t get discussed much tbh

D zone play and goaltending needs to improve. It can only go up from here and when it does, this team becomes a contender again

With a ton of youthful confidence and all that entails good and bad.

Couple of bad breakout passes, but there are going to be some ups and downs. He looks like he belongs. Was even getting penalty kill time

It was basic mistakes. Siegs had no puck awareness where he put it up the boards on goal 4. Timo played Quinn charmin soft on Goal 5. Vitek just allows so many big rebounds.

I actually thought Timo made a terrific play on Quinn at the blue line, good hit, knocked the puck off him, it was just a terribly unlucky bounce where Quinn could retrieve it

Tbh, yeah. I don't think this team is as bad as it's being discussed here. I understand that we have young guys and our veteran D-men haven't been good enough. I'm very concerned with our goaltending though.

I cannot believe they couldn't lock it down with a 3 goal lead coming into the 3rd. Brings me down man.

Vitek is more of a lost caused here than Blackwood, hipless Schneider and probably like 2019 Kinkaid in wayyyyyy over his head as a starter.

I don't think his career is done like those guys were by any means. I could see him going to the worst team in the league tomorrow and playing like he did before the playoffs last year, but it won't be here.

They need to monitor his games like a diabetic checks their blood sugar. I dare them to give him the workload they've given Schmid since the season started.

I'm not on the get a goalie train, yet. Yes, we need a goalie, but the defense is a problem and needs to be fixed first. Any goalie is going to struggle with all these wide open chances against. I don't want to crater a new goalies confidence.

I rather they just air mail the puck out of the zone in these late game situations and risk the icing vs trying to be so fine and do a proper breakout.

There was a play where Jack picked up a Vitek rebound and just stood there looking to make a move right in front of the crease instead of just lifting the puck out.

They pass up easy clears too much.

I agree btw. That's the frustrating part, the top talent is 100% there. I love the core and we could do so much more.

I don't understand the system. We need to simplify things. I don't like our goaltending. Not good enough.
