Those are usually golden eagles. I don't think many hawks are lifting much more than a rabbit.

I'd say it has more to do with college hoops having a large number of non-conference games and the "power conference" teams always padding their home schedules with a couple hundred available cupcakes that use those self-sacrifice games to fund their programs. And those cupcakes pad their home non-conference schedules with even lower tiered teams. Enough schedule padding skews the numbers. Harder to do in football, with less available cupcakes to go around.

also on the college football thing. Most P4 teams (glares at West Virginia) aren't dumb enough to schedule more than 1 other P4 team OOC in a year and will usually host a G5 and an FCS team which will almost always be nothing more than a payday game for those programs and a free win for the P4 team. You'll get a handful of UNI over ND a year or something similarly crazy, but for the most part the P4 vs G5 is like a 95% proposition, and the P4 vs FCS is like a 99% unless you're dumb enough to schedule NDSU or (back in the day) App.

If we operate on the assumption that the animals are trained to hunt and kill you I think if you don't take the rats you lose. I can't see any combo of the others that can deal with that many rats before enough get through and swarm you.

But if we do operate on that assumption, there is no combination of two that you can choose that can save you, either.

I think the critical problem we have with this exercise is you HAVE to have the rats, the hawks and the hunter. Any one of them not on your team means you will die. If you don't choose the hunter, it's game over in about 15 seconds. If you don't choose the hawks, no other choice can protect you from them quickly enough for them not to have their way with you. If you don't choose the rats....numbers win.

I think it’s a no-win scenario for the reasons you listed and more. If we assumed they’re trained, odds are any single group of animals can kill you. Hell, 15 dogs can probably kill you, and then you realize how much bigger, more dangerous, and more organized wolves are than your average dog:

Ok, so we take the hunter and the rats. about 2K of the rats envelope you as a shield from the hawks while the hunter takes them out (then goes for the other animals) and the other 8K rats swarm out to take the other animals on their way in.
